| Quote Finfin="Finfin"The good thing about watching Wigan is that a lot of the undesirable element is syphoned off to the football club, never to return thank god. You can take kids to watch Wigan and not be subjected to foul language, never mind violence. I was in 2 minds yesterday whether to wear my Wigan shirt, and did the Wigan walk after 77 minutes to avoid what I perceived would be hassle from the Warrington fans after the game. Not something I usually have to do.'"
the funny thing is ur so ablivious that its happening at every club and that wigan isnt perfect

Sorry but the only hassle I have had in recent seasons has been at Salford - from local idiots not fans; and Warrington. Sorry if you don't like that.

| Just thought I'd jump on here and throw my twopence in.
I was in the West Stand in my Wire shirt, Block F to be precise, so completely surrounded by Wigan fans.
For the most part, they were very nice people, friendly and knoweldgeable (I swapped seats in the Second Half as there was a space and enjoyed a great conversation with the bloke I was sat next to).
Some were using bad language and making obscene remarks about my shirt and myself, which wasn't nice when I had a five year old with me, but I laughed it off as banter and nothing much came of it. There were enough comments, however, and the manner in which they were delivered suggested things wouldn't have been so amicable if it wasn't for the child present.
After the match, there were handshakes, hugs and well wishes all round as the Wigan fans left the stadium and I stayed to applaud both teams off the pitch, while a couple of s barged past with an angry scowl, knuckles dragging on the floor.
For some reason, those well mannered and pleasant fans either don't use the internet, or do and change personalities in an instant. I saw enough angry and bitter comments of facebook to sour my opinion of people I called friends. I understand that people are frustrated over alleged incidents - and I don't suggest for one minute that Warrington fans are angels - but to tar every wire fan with the same brush and to suggest that Wigan fans were completely innocent is ignorant and blinkered.
I didn't see any trouble outside the ground, but did notice the lads near the drum underneath the scoreboard looking to goad the Warrington fans in the West Stand and there seemed to be a commotion over in that corner, but couldn't see itfrom my seat.

Seem like you did ok overall - there's no way on earth I would have taken my kids into the Warrington end.
