Quote: elliegg "i strongly disagree with the alcohol banning ...why should the majority suffer for the minority...i by the way dont drink as i have my 6 year old daughter with me....but dont see why others shouldnt...its part of our game ..a few drinks with opposing fans ..a bit of banter and off to the game....WE ARE NOT FOOTBALL FANS
.my hubby runs coaches and we have a mixed age group ....2-70.......and if anyone on our buses does anything remotely out of order we stop it straight away.....as i said previously we as fans need to police our own supporters and stop it before it escalates.....Rugby League is a family sport ...lets keep it that way'"
i like a couple of pints at games myself, but its these big occasions that attract a minority of idiots who use it as an excuse to get legless and want to take on all comers.
as i said earlier...its just one solution , but its drastic.
and i do agree ....why should we let a minority spoil it for the majority.
maybe if we brought the ban in for a couple of seasons and see if they go to footy instead????
and as i again said earlier...these decisions rest finally with the local police.
If theres continual trouble , it THE POLICE who have powers to shut down bars and bring in alcohol bans , and move KO times.
lets hope it never comes to that , and that we can get our rugby league house in order ourselves
