No. I just don't see why Barrett still gets threads on here when he's not a Wigan player any more, yet other players don't tend to get away with it.

Anyone who thinks Barrett is a legend either has blinkers on, or has not seen any REAL legends.

Him leaving early certainly took the gloss off his status but he was one of the best imports to play for Wigan which many will remember, certainly the younger generation who never got to see Kenny etc. Fair enough he isn't a Wigan player but he's hardly getting live coverage on here.

tbf mate while legend may be a bit strong Barrett is easily in the top 3 most talented players to play for wigan in the last 10 years!!! Hes an absolute class act, proved it at wigan and continues to prove it in the NRL....watch the origin games if you want any proof of it.

We're bound to talk about him in a favourable light and want to know what hes up to because of what a star he is!

While I wouldnt class him as a legend, I also wouldnt class Brett Kenny as a legend because both were never hear long enough and neither were wigan through and through...a requisite of a legend IMO!! However, it doesnt stop me realising Barrett, along with Kenny was in an elite band of World Class players that I am privelaged to say i have witnessed play and as a fantastic RL player I am bound to, as are other wigan fans, champion him and want to watch him play for other teams, as his RL skills are a pleasure to watch!

couldn't have put it better myself, he's in my top ten to play in the Cheery & White along with the likes of The Black Pearl, Giz, Andy Gregory, Brett Kenny, Gene Miles, Steve Renouf etc
