Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"I've got to buy a few tickets for this yet for some friends and i'd imagine theres others in the same boat.
To sell an extra 1,000 in the past few days is a very good sign and i think we could be looking at 22,000ish which will create a great atmosphere and hopefully one which the players will thrive in.
Great work by the club.'"
This and the Harlequins game will really boost our average gates. We are not one of the teams who needs to be doing this to boost crowds and yet we are one of the clubs really tying in this area.
The club did not have to do this. I hope it becomes a regular thing every year for this game and I also think we should do something for the wire game as we could get a sell-out for that one. We could be looking at 3, 20,000+ crowds if we do this every year and if put something else on for the smaller gates again like against Quins, Celtic and Catalans, we will be heading in the right direction. I think next season we should put this kind of effort in to the home opener as well, it would be great to have a huge crowd on for the first game like we did against wire in 2007.
We still have this game and games against Wire and Hull at home so we should be looking at a really good average attendance by the end of the year as all 3 crowds should hopefully be above our current average because wire and Hull bring loads of fans and the Leeds game will obviously get a huge crowd.
Why are Quins, Salford, Celtic, Wakey and maybe a few other clubs not doing things like this?
