Quote: "not sure if it has been mentioned basically haven't got time at work to read all through the above pages. Was talking to friend at Fridays game and came to the conclusion that it would benefit Pryce and the club to perhaps loan him out for the rest of the season at a club like Barrow or Halifax and see if playing at a higher level than the rezserves brings him on. If not he will never be Super League standard. Perhaps working under another coach would change his perceptin. Same could go for Ainscough.'"
I agree, I don't think playing in the reserves is doing Pryce any good he finds it too easy and can, and does, coast through the games. Putting him in the first team when he is plainly nowhere near fit enough is also doing him no favours. He must get match fit away from Wigan as he isn't going to get the right standard of game here. It is then up to him, I believe he has all the ability needed. He should really be a lot fitter than he is now even without high level game time but a loan out places the ball firmly in his court to get himself and his motivation sorted out.
Same goes for Ainscough, although for different reasons. He just isn't going to get picked for the first team here so a loan out to a National League tem will hep him develop much quicker. No problems with his fitness or motivation.
If both of them can come back showing the same sort of improvement we have seen in Mossop and Saints can see in their loan player at Huddersfield (name escapes me now) then it's another step up the ladder of improvement for us, and more options for next year's coach.
