But Hudson had only just started at a big club, Bradford, when he was banned, and had come from a small club. He had to go to a small club when he came back, Huddersfield (they were smaller then), and has ended up back at Cas.
At Wigan, Hock is top flight and top money. He won't command offers anywhere near what he will be on now in a couple of years time. (By top flight, I meant at a bigger club, not below Super League - my mistake).
This will be a lesson for any young player. |

I agree
one reason i would stop and think before sacking him is the fact. there will be no morals shown by the rest of the league when his bans up and there all knocking on his door.
rightly the club will sack him..but its the club and fans being hurt here.
And some other clubs gain in 2 years time |

IF (and thats a big if) he manages to reform himself and get away from the scrubbers he hangs around with from Norley and sort himself out, we should keep his registration and bring him back after any potential ban
he is an awesome talent with a ridiculously small brain. if the club can educate him properly (like they should have been doing for the last 6 years) then, as a player, im 100% confident he can be saved
if the club washes their hands of him, then hes done
over to you Mr Chairman

I don't think age or time out of the game would do anything to Hocks playing abilities tbh.
He's always been a physical freak with unbelievable strengh for the size of him and that wouldn't change with an enforced lay off.
If you look at Hocks career though it's always been destined to be abit of a waste with long injury lay off and lay offs through suspension making it to stop start affair and this will continue that trend.
He'll be back because at the end of the day if clubs are willing to take on a player thats glassed his own girlfriend they'll take on a lad thats been taking banned substances. |
