All SL teams are much of a muchness, the difference is coaching and preparation.

This will become ever more important as there's going to be another talent drain from the game when RU start their preparations for the 2015 World Cup.

Yeah you say this but he didn't do a bad job of putting your main playmaker off his game (Smith) and he also scored the winning try, so i'll take that terrible performance.

Quote: cadoo "We can moan about the cap all day long but it is here and is here to stay. Deal with it.

Just because there is a salary cap it does not mean we cannot be a top side again. We have the money to buy players but instead lets focus on the young lads we do have and develop them. Michael McIlorum, Sean Ainscough, Sam Tomkins, Joel Tomkins, Paul Prescott, Eamon O'carroll, Darrell Goulding, Lee Mossop etc

Our two best performers for the last few weeks have been home grown - Sean O'loughlin and Gareth Hock. Your home grown players are vital to a successful side and considering Wigan have some of the best local talents in rugby league in the UK we should look to develop them into world class players to benefit the side and to put us back where we belong.

It pains me when I saw Shaun Briscoe keep Hull KR in the game by rushing over to push the ball into touch, stopping a certain try and then to see on our end Cameron Phelps beaten twice.[/quote]

exactly....despite the recent pat bashing thats been going on on here, we are a much safer option with pat at FB imo and i think as a defencive FB he offers more than the rest of SL....the closest thing to having rads back as youll ever get for a strong last line of defence and for that reason is why id always have him there. pat is our best FB and his best position imo is FB

Quote: XBrettKennyX "Agreed no god given right, however, I would disagree that they are a "top" team.

They are a mid table team with a slightly above average coach.

I concur Re Dobson as he is a very good player.

The reality is that a club with the stature of Wigan, although having no "right" to beat Hull KR, "should" be beating Hull KR.'"

Really poor.

It's not really poor he's just missing he point.

A club with the stature of Wigan's (i.e. the biggest in the world) means their fans have huge expectations for their team whether they are a good side or not. And whether we like it or not we are currently an average side.

Any other mid-table side would accept being beaten by a similar level of players if they are the better on the day but that's simply not how it works in Wigan, and to be honest I'm glad that's how it is.

Oh, the irony. Brett Kenny was one of the finest players I've ever seen and the bloke who takes his name is a complete tool.
