I've not a clue how he expects the supporters to react? He's the one who signed the dotted line and he's the one who hasn't replicated performances from his previous club, so surely criticism is justified?'"
He probably didn't expect the level of criticism from the Wigan fans he receives; don’t forget he played in a good team which also happened to be his local club. The level of abuse that Wigan grown players is less than those bought into the club.
At Bradford he was developed into the team over a period of time and was a round peg in a round hole, fitting well into the team. At Wigan he was dropped into a struggling side, with high expectations that he would be the saviour and would fit perfectly, maybe his loss of form can be attributed to the lack of support from the fans, changing management in the club, personal issues and not being in the environment which he developed in for example. Wigan signed him and have to be partially responsible for the loss of form, it’s not just down to Stuart.
I have moved jobs on a number of occasions and sometimes found myself in and environment that I just don’t like and so don’t perform as well despite the task at hand being my forte. Is it my fault or the employer, I would argue a mixture of both.
