The Communist Cap - dragging down success and aspiration to the levels of those who cba.: |
|
| Makes more sense to me.
Can't believe Nobby would leave us short in the front row.
Just not his style.
Makes more sense as OC and Prescott are both English- a fact that IL keeps highlighting.
IF it is true ofc, then it's a disgrace.

| So Ian Lenagan signed Cam Phelps and Noble didn't know anything about it until he turned up at Orrell? No one believes that!
So the same applied to Mathers, Tim Smith & Piggy?
Sorry I'm not buying that for a minute.
Those signings were sorted by both IL and BN.
Re Cam Smith I think it's more likely BN had identified him and Lenagan had never heard of him until then.
Even after all these signings we've still not got the props we needed long before Ian Lenagan bought the club.
They are both responsible for that in different ways!

| If that is true, its stunning.
Can't see why Noble would stick that tbh.

| Obviously it does sound a bit of a far fetched story BUT it ties in with everything that i can not understand regarding our current squad.
I fail to believe that a man (Noble) whos past sucsess at Bradford was built on having a huge team dominating the opposition has suddenly become obsessed with smaller players. Even Nobles wing men at Bradford where huge yet now he seems to think smaller, more nimble wingers are better (Roberts). It does not make sense. If something has been sucsessful and won you loads of trophys in the past why go totally opposite in search of more sucsess? The same can be said for the forwards. 4 huge forwards at Bradford yet one of the worst front rows in SL at Wigan and he is happy with that? It just does not add up.
The Newton rumour makes a lot of sense to me. It was posted a while back that Noble wanted somebody else and not Riddell. Seeing as Noble did everything to get Newton to Bradford then i believe Noble would of wanted him back at Wigan.
To add on top of all this the fact that Lenegan has stated he will not sack Noble makes you wonder if the reason is because of the details in the PM.
Now all this could be rumours and a load of rubbish but it certainly sounds quite believable since the players signed are simply not Brian Noble type players.
