Quote: Cadoo! "Sean Ainscough should retain his spot for the Harlequins game. If Noble is true to his word (still in a job) then I think Ainscough will keep his place for the rest of the season and establish himself as a first team player.
If given the chance I believe Sam Tomkins will do the same. Tim Smith is very hit and miss in attack and is just too weak in defense. It's none existant at times. It's like we're a man down. So if he is ever given the opportunity I think Sam will impress (like Ainscough) and earn himself a place in the squad. Sadly (again like Ainscough) I think his opportunities will be very limited unless injuries occur.
Lee Mossop is the only other player who could get a chance. If Bailey is still injured I'd give Lee Mossop a try. He's a big lad with plenty to offer certainly more in attack then Bailey may does. I'm not just picking on Phil Bailey, I think the same applies to Harrison Hansen. However solid these lads maybe in defense they are offering nothing for us in terms of attack but more importantly aren't going forward enough. They're not making the hard yards. I don't expect them to create breaks and set 20 tries up a season but a greater go forward is needed from them both because a lot of the time we're being dominated in the forwards which allows other teams to put a good kick chase going forward and put us on the back foot.
Castlefords forwards on Friday were fantastic and were knocking down our lads like Bowling pins.'"
To me to sort out our defence on that right hand side, Bailey needs to be played at centre even though he doesn't have the pace of one. However, I think Harrison Hansen is a really good second row forward who does the hard yards IMO.
We have an abundance of second row forwards and going forward Gareth Hock and Joel Tomkins are our best options. But defensively, it's Hansen and Bailey.
