IMO this is a good move for Marsh and a good move for Wigan. It will give Marsh the much needed experience he needs. Who knows he might make it.

Season-long loans will happen more and more often with fringe young players who can't be guaranteed game time. Leeds have done it with a fair few players now, and playing a full season in SL is far better experience than the Academy. They all either return or go eslewhere as better players than they would have been otherwise.
