I've been singing Joel's praises for a long time. My mates and the missus used to give me that 'you're a bit odd' look, but they're starting to see what I mean.
He's not the strongest and biggest, and in a straightforward drive he does as well as many forwards. But give him an inch of space, or ask him to support a break anywhere near him and he's on it in an instant, making yards, supporting, and popping up in the right place to score tries.
Tonight's opportunistic try was typical of what I mean. For a young lad playing top-level SL that takes confidence in your own ability, plus of course the ability to spot the chance, and to pull it off.
Keep hold of this kid please IL, he's a future great.
