Quote post="post"Hang on, Morley is 31? He has maybe 1 or 2 at the most seasons left in him plus he is out of contract at end of the season if he wishes to do so. Carvell went to you for 50,000 in his late 20's and just signed a 4 year deal, it is you who is deluded.
Gleeson had a year and a half left on his contract at 29 - £100,000 pus Mathers but really adding Mathers to the bargain is just like throwing a car air freshener in with a Porshe
'"
Laugh all you want about Mathers; he's yet to lose when playing for Warrington. Can Gleeson say the same at Wigan?
As for Morley he has taken up an option for 2010 so your wrong on that one. I would say the way he's going he could continue at the toip level for a good few years yet; just look at Steve Price in Australia.
Gleeson had been told he could leave at the end of this season so the fact his contract had 18 months is irrrelevant.
The Carvell point just supports what I say as there was only Warrington willing to pay the price Hull wanted (and it was more then £50k). Do you think Wigan should have paid the requested fee? It seems you could do with somebody like Carvell now.
