"The bars will be open from 11am and will have to close at 3pm following police advice." Why don't we ignore the police advice. Seems a bit daft if the Army Navy kicks off at 3 then why should our bars shut then when presumably all the pi55ed up service folk are in their stadium?

Maybe this advice applies to all bars in Twickenham. Previous Army Navy games have seen people in state of annihilation as they get off their train in the morning. By mid afternoon its like a scene from The Walking Dead.

I have no problem with shutting at 4 or 4.30 but 3 seems OTT

Its to make sure no one stays to watch the Under 19 game after the main game. Whoever thought of closing the bar so early needs their head examined. Lost revenue, but then again the club is so rich and doesnt need the money. If the sun shines and we manage to win the game it would have been great to stand watching the under 19's with a genial drink in your hand

Apparently not police advice but directive ( well why not say so). Anyway I shall order a few pints at 2.55 and watch the yoof.

Duncan-Thats what they do. The bars are closed at 3 in he main ground to ensure everyone goes to there seat.

The place is flooded with MP's- mainly to stop the streakers getting on the pitch

Really disappointed with this. Had a non-rugby mate coming and promised her a band and a bit of a celebration tear-up after the game.

Sadly, what with the weather, no trains from her station and nothing happening other than the game, she's giving it a miss.

Reckon this will be our lowest ever gate against Sts (and we might even get a win too!).

If the club wanted us to get there early why on earth didnt they put the Under 19 game on before the main game instead of afterwards. Fans could have enjoyed a pint while watching a game and probably wouldnt be too upset about the 3pm closure. Instead they want us there with absolutely nothing going on for two and a half hours and then closing the bars and expecting us to hang around to watch the second game with no facilities open It's not rocket science to turn things around.

To be fair the U19s tend to travel on the day of the game so an 11 o clock start ain't really fair. Saints kids would have to be up about 5!
