| On Saturday the 5th March at 3.30pm, London Skolars RL will host Egremont Rangers in the 3rd Round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup, at New River Stadium. To mark this special occasion in the Rugby League Calendar, Skolars are offering Harlequins RL fans the chance to see the match for only £5!
Egremont, who play in the National Conference League Division Two, will be making the long trip down from Cumbria hoping, like Skolars, that victory will line up a lucrative 4th Round tie against Super League opposition.
Harlequins very own Rob Purdham started his Rugby League career with Egremont, playing at the club from the age of seven up until he was eighteen and, injuries and commitments permitting, he intends to get down to New River to cheer on the club he has such a strong affiliation with.
Rob's late brother Garry started and ended his Rugby League career with Egremont and there will be a collection at the game for the Garry Purdham memorial Trust.
Commenting on the match, Skolars General Howard Kramer said "We have seen a strengthening of relationships between Skolars and Harlequins RL over the past twelve months and this match against Egremont gives us an opportunity to offer Harlequins fans a reduced price ticket (£5) to watch the game.
I am grateful to Gus Mackay, who was quick to endorse our proposed offer. All Harlequins RL fans have to do is produce their season tickets or their match tickets from the Huddersfield game to get their half price ticket. We're keen to get a good crowd in for the match, which means so much to both clubs".
