Makes sense if he is at Uni up there that the club would want him to be playing and training in a professional set up so that his development continues and he is still at a good level when he fionishes uni.

If he gets a local girlfriend he's gone. As an ex Hull Uni lad myself I know how big a goldfish bowl Hull is for RL and I reckon he will like the attention he gets in the limelight. A Hull girlfriend plus the fact that we wont be paying him I guess leaves it wide open IMO to lose him,especially if its a long course  |

Whether his career takes off is not the point. We have developed him and we will have lost him just as he is getting to the time he is developing into a first team squad player.
Its a loss to us if he is a really promissing player. If its just a one year course then maybe not.
Is he definitely a player who has a bright future or are we all just hoping here. Havnt seen that much of him  |

If he is under 23 and we hold his registration then it would cost Hull a few quid to sign him.
If he want's to play RL, but is in Uni at Hull, it makes sense for us to loan him out rather than have him walk away from the game.

I saw him play for our u21s on Saturday and certainly looks the part. A touch of the Offiahs about him. Scored two great tries, one a length of the field effort when nothing seemed on at all.
He may be a bit raw at the moment, but I have seen a lot worse in SL ( Penny springs to mind at Wire ) He has a bit of strength and I am sure he will benefit from training with us whilst doing his studies.
With the overseas quota coming down all the time he may well be one that we start to haggle over.
