| Have you watched the way that the team Jamie Langley coaches play. I would say he would slot right in and carry on the good work. Hendo after all was some what dropped into the head coaches job, when Joey jumped ship. So I am sure Jamie can do the same, given the chance.

| What about John Kear. He normally gets mentioned whenever a coaches job comes up.

I hope he does (if he gets the job of course)!! Still a big ask of the bloke. Also, we still need to address these issues in the squad.

| Dog,
I am afraid it was a essentially "northern pastime" consigned to occasional Challenge Cup games on the BBC....maybe Londoners knew about it, but it was just that it existed and was played by whippet owning pigeon fanciers from Yorkshire.
Point proven! Predjudice was already there.
Not so in Canada
So it's totally different

Nope. Just because I knew how to press your buttons didn't mean that RL was "known" in London or that your average Londoner gave a flying fig about Rugby of any sort.
Toronto has hosted well attended RL events over the last decade and had between 4 and 6 Clubs playing the game.
You seem intent on arguing the point to death just because it's me on the other side, whilst the reality is that London 1995 and Toronto 2017 are not that different...they really aren't.
Back on Topic. If he has gone, then I reckon DH won't be far behind him......the 3 year plan was sold on the basis of a plan to get us to a stable situation and back in SL if possible and neither of those have happened as of yet.

| Well arguing the point is fun. And I still say they are massively different, again proven by the way it was sold. Ask probably 6000 of the alleged 7000 they wouldn't know wigan from Worthing, whereas mention rugby league to most Londoners and they already know at least wigan and Bradfurt northern.
But back on Andrew has any thing been confirmed?

How is it Proven?
Toronto 2017 has Hockey, Baseball and Soccer as well as CFL.......rugby of either code is minimal in existence with Union being larger purely because of the University leagues and the National Side, but League has hosted big crowds in the past too.
London had soccer.......that's pretty much it, especially in 1995 when Union had no professional comp. London Irish used to get 3-500 at games......it was a minimal and marginalised sport that even back then struggled for audience on the BBC at 5 Nations games.....no wall to wall coverage back then....all games on Saturday....only one shown live. London has no preference to codes....none of the chip on the shoulder stuff you allude to....we're all egg chasers to them.
They are not different but the approach has been significantly so, with a substantial amount of investment in Toronto and absolutely zero in London circa 1995......

| Again point proven, in Canada you are offering something new, a virtually new sport to an audience that have very little knowledge of that sport, no prejudice no flat caps and whippets or rah rah bias
Where as london where you were introducing a sport to an audience who mostly knew about the sport, probably actually knew very little, but what they did was through "Eddie Waring" so with pre convieved ideas.
I would suggest to you that London audience, those that have any interest in rugby even in 95 unless they were northern imports generally dismissed league in favour of union

| One thing I will say about Toronto, there is no way they have been getting the crowds quoted. Anytime I have seen them the ground looks half empty.

Back on message, never thought he had a high opinion of London? He does a lot of media work, would he see London as an attractive option?
