London Broncos are not a community club in any shape or form........we haven't been since we left Brentford...or at the very least, when the volunteers were told they weren't needed.....

16679.jpg Well f**k my hat, I didn't know that!
Come all without, come all within, we're London Broncos not the H********s!:16679.jpg |

Because it has all the atmosphere of a morgue, and even when we played in H********s pastels it has never felt like a home ground to me- I can't speak about the Stoop first time around but it doesn't work for us, especially when there's only 2k or less rattling around in the place.

Mine patently .....because god forbid you ever try to lay the blame with the 2 cricketing CEO's or St David of Swinton.

First time around The Stoop seemed vibrant, there was always a lot more corporate spectators, match days seemed a major event and the landlord seemed to treat us a lot more equally!

Apart from this month taking the World Cup to two primary schools and a secondary school in Feltham, Gower and others visiting the Staines Titans for coaching, having a school team play the half time challenge (and make a guard of honour for the teams when they came out) etc etc.

I don't see how a fans forum effects being a community club or not.
But we're going off topic....
Gillingham chairman is still talking positively about us - www.kentnews.co.uk/sport/scally_ ... _1_2200207

| There is a better first grade team than LB over the road from the gills winning 70 - 10 today. Hope LB do not move, in my opinion it will be a disaster for the local club.

there's a difference between paying lip service and being a community club......our current community,as in TW2 residents, don't know we exist.......if we were a community club, they'd be up in arms about us leaving the community...

You seriously believe the Broncos' community is only the 2 square miles around Twickenham?

I'm surprised to hear that the locals don't know we exist, as years ago, they used to complain about when the games were played.
Anyone on here remember that? Something to do with the noise, the floodlights.

If we were a community club then we would have the support of the community.....we don't!

Nope, it was before that. In the late 90s at the stoop. I even have an inkling of a neuron firing that we moved a game because of residents complaints. Think it was either night games or Sunday ones.
Can any fan from back then confirm / remember that?
As I said, the locals do know we are there. Question is. Are they interested?
