Wish him well he turned a few games in our favour last year and played with what looked like quite a significant injury.

I genuinely think we will be in a dog fight to avoid the drop come august. It is thoroughly depressing to think that the penny still hasn't dropped that a competitive side combined with a structured marcomms plan is key to making this move worthwhile.

What's great about this is not the fact that there is a lot of negativity on here but the fact that you are all still interested and probably will be even if stood on the terraces watching them get beaten a fair bit. I can't say that I'm a fan of expansionism but you are established and with motivation (most seasons) are bound to remain.

I would not assume that most folks posting here are likely to buy ST's to PL or attend most games until we see substantial changes to how the club is run. For instance for the three of us, we are not paying around 120GBP (ticket costs + travel) to see the squad get tonked by 60 by Fev. Same for games vs Fax, Leigh, Batley, Bradford, Newcastle, York etc, unless we see a clear plan on how the club decide to strengthen the squad so we are competitive.

So we will be very targetted on which games we attend, and its likely only to be a handful at most this season. We won't be going to Widnes, and we will take the decision on Haven based on how the team do in the games prior to that.

And before we get accused of being fair weather fans, we have been ST holders (gold ST holders) since 2000, and we attended every game in that span pretty much until Covid hit. Not to mention buying tops every year plus other goodies etc... So we have put money into this club over the years, but we are not funding the rent for PL, until we see we have a squad which can compete

I will not be going to any games. The club needs to get its act together before I even think about it.

Some will say I should support no matter what, and I do support them, I'm just not going to waste money/time when the club is a total shambles.

Ultimately it’s about entertainment isn’t it. I didn’t find the game against TO this season entertaining and the 2020 game against Fev, if anyone can remember back before COVID, was absolutely disgraceful. The fear is there are a few more games this season that may well not be attractive by objective standards. That Friday night game against Newcastle looks a long old night. I do think the first three home games are worth going to. They should be winnable but if we get pasted then we know. If I was you I’d take the plunge for one of those and see if the team can do better than we fear.

I say that but, although I have an ST, until I’ve tried I have no idea how horrendous this journey to South London will be. Once might be enough!

We just don’t know yet but think there are quite a few games I think with an injury free team and a decent team spirit we could be competitive and I think we must have a decent shot at a home win against Sheffield, Batley, Dewsbury, Barrow, Haven and Workington. They should all be worth a punt. If you look at the incomings and outgoings for some of those clubs they aren’t exactly pulling up trees either. However, there does seem a wide gap now between our squad and Fev, Leigh, Fax, Bulls and Newcastle. Bearing in mind the difficulties in getting to PL on top of everything else I can definitely see why people wouldn’t fancy it. I myself will be giving a swerve to the Fev game. I just don’t see how that will be anything other than messy.

I live in NZ now, but haven't missed at least 1 game when back in the UK.....I used to buy merch, but won't whilst the pseudo commercial manager AKA wage thief and part time internet troll gets a cut....but if we are back in blighty, I'll no doubt trundle down to Merton (wearing dark glasses and a false beard to avoid the monkey gestapo)
