No,clearly we're not. I bang on about this every season and every time a hefty looking pack turn up they blow us away. Like Leigh and KR did last season.
Half backs don't inspire me too much either - Barthau has too many injury issues, Sammut can be great on his day but he doesn't have them too often these days.
Not overly impressed with the squad Hendo has put together compares with last if I'm being honest- hope they prove me wrong and that a few more young talents like KPP come through.

| A big nasty prop is essential. I agree with other posters that over the last few years we have been bullied by a few teams. I remain hopeful. Our team will beat the majority of championship teams, but to aim for first/ second we probably need 1 or two big forward

24 tries in 23 games for a relegated team seems pretty good to me!

And the one thing that stands out for me was his brain fart drop goal against us when his team needed more than a one pointer late on.

| The shift Leigh made between 15 and 16 was to massively strengthen their pack and it worked. They just rolled over teams. That pack isn't good enough for SL but it was certainly the answer to getting them up.

| If we can keep Barthau and Pewhairangi fit, with Sammut, we should have the best half back set in the division. I agree the pack looks lightweight so a big ugly prop would be useful.

| Tend to disagree, exceptional players always welcome, but we have been successful playing high tempo 80 minute rugby and the forwards have to fit into that style.
We have 11 potential players covering the 4/5 positions do we need more?
Present signings:
Props
BEN EVANS ~2017
TOM SPENCER ~ 2018
10. EDDIE BATTYE ~2017
16. MARK IOANE ~2017
29. SADIQ ADEBIYI ~2018
Forwards
JAY PITTS ~2018
WILL LOVELL ~2017
11. DANIEL HARRISON ~2017
17. MARK OFFERDAHL ~2017

Sammut is so frustrating as a player, not really a team player. When he is good he is class, but will have some shockers. Never has a steady game it's either class or poor. I think Pryce/Chisholm are up there with the HB's mentioned above.

Hopefully this as yet unknown Aussie Prop is like that.
Tom Spencer will surprise a few, very good player in my opinion.
Ben Evans too if he can stay fit.

The gap is Thackery and Slyney (in particular) offered size and experience which none of the above can? Ioanne and Battye as props offer a lot, but they will miss the leadership of the other two, so an experienced and big prop is essential in my view

| Thought ioanne started too come into his own at he back end of the season and could develop his leadership skills on the park for what we need

| Everett cannot have figured in Hendos plans, so for him to go to Toronto on loan would make sense for all concerned.
