Firstly I'm not best pleased with the relocation of the fixture but I doubt we've been left with much alternative at short notice. With Easter football fixtures those grounds would be unlikely, Sarries as Willow6666 has pointed out is only for 16 fixtures and 2 events (both of which are already planned no doubt).

The pitch was in a dreadful condition on Saturday and the longer it is left to recover the better. I think I would rather the pitch was protected with the opportunity of ensuring the Bradford game isn't moved from the Stoop than for protecting a game that quite frankly doesn't end up with a massive crowd.

I don't see how we could just move it to another weekend as if there are dates available for both us and Catalan just to slot in. We might not have a barnstorming run in the Challenge Cup but Catalan may have. There are two teams you need to consider here.

I can't see the Exiles weekend being ideal either as both clubs could have players selected.

And I doubt the RFL will allow any league games beyond the final round already set, given the playoffs and World Cup schedule.

However a chance to visit the former home of Surreyheath ARLFC again and if it upsets John Inverdale even a little it could make my weekend.

I imagine John Inverdale is ing himself TBH. It rather proves the point about how small time the Broncos are.

I hadn't heard about his health problems?

As with every other year the RFL will make sure that Catalan do not have home advantage at the important stage of any competition thus ensuring that Catalan will have plenty of free time/gaps to choose from come July/August.......I don`t see the problem

On the other hand we do that to ourselves!

May have already been said, but of course we might just win, in which case we will call Gus a genius and have to carry him shoulder high around the pitch.......not that RL fans are fickle folk.

Like some others, I had managed to persuade five newbies along to this fixture prior to this announcement.

I was able to sell a direct commute to the stoop to check out the "new" sport, but the added treck to Esher is just one change of public transport too far for those that live to the north and west of Twickenham and have no "commitment" to the club.

The only positive note for me, was at least I had decided to put off buying the additional tickets till the day rather than ordering them in advance.

It makes the club look like a tin-pot outfit regardless or who is at fault or to blame.

Just had a quick look at Woking line departures from Clapham Junction this evening as will have to go via there tommorow and if the same platform
is in use tomorrow it will be platform 11. It seems to be 31 mins from there.

No....because it wasn't the RFL that told them at 4pm on Monday that they couldn't play this game...it was the Landlords. Unless you, in all honesty,believe that the RFL sent someone to check the pitch 3 days before a scheduled game for the first time in SL History.......be honest RB.....it was Quins and you know it was. If it had been anyone else the Gus would have said so on SKYSPORTS....he didn't.

Maybe it is all part of Gus's masterplan to turn us against The Stoop.

There's NEVER been a precedent set like this in SL.....NEVER. The club were awarded 3 years based on DH funding us, having a stable ground and building up our attendances. 2012, 2013 & 2014 were the years we received the licence for....potentially 39 "home" games.

We applied in 2011 with the news we were going to rebrand and kick on with the task of adding fans...someting we had failed to do in 2011......where we in fact lost 7.57% of our fans.

2012...we started the licence period as London Broncos .V2. This was supposed to sort out confusion over who we were and what we played.......and resulted in 10.14% LESS fans in attendance than 2011 when we were the oh so confusing Harlequins Rugby League Rob Powell had been mistakenly retained as coach and we were told that we spent to the cap yet even after Mr's Hughes MacKay admitted This mistake and replaced Powell, we finished in 12th place. 2012 ended with the news that it wasn't actually the confusion over our name and what sport we played that was the problem, but instead it was where we were playing our games. ...2 Year in and it's everything elses fault that we have lost 16.9% of our fans
2013....the season starts with the news that Gus's #1 priority is no longer increasing attendances, it is now finding anywhere else for us to play that isn't Twickenham...because we've never got crowds of 9k, 8k, 7k, 6k...in TW2....

There are 22 more home games left in this licence period.....but in reality, given March was the deadline last year, there are only 13 before we submit an application for a further 3 years......based on the performance of the club and its administrators and management thus far, who here is confident of another 3 years?

Halifax averaged over 2,500 last timeout and didn't get in....we're currently on 2,111......This year Featherstone Rovers are currently averaging 2,450 after 4 home games....16% more than US

Barley Mow, Moseley Rd from 5 if anybody fancies it, left out of Hersham Station then about half a mile walk. No idea what its like but the closest to the ground. If its crap, clubhouse from 6.

18.59 reaches Hersham at 19.21

Barley Mow is quite a hike from the rugby ground about 25 mins each way but they do good pub grub.
