| Just as a matter if interest, does anyone know how ticket sales are going for this game? I for one am taking an extra 3 people including my die-hard RU mate (the last RL game he watched was in 1984) who is coming over from Northern Ireland with his son for a combined visit. All I want from it is an evenly matched contest; not an embarrassing tonking from Hull. A win would be nice too

| How is the result going to have any effect on how many Leyton Orient residents will bother travelling to TW2 on June 9th?
If you wanted an important result...then Feb 11th 2006 was the game that the RFL should have arranged that we played Catalan Dragons or Salford or anyone but ST Helens....
Getting spanked that day in front of 8,000 locals was far more damaging than being tonked by Hull in North East London........

Bang on with that, exactly what I thought at the time.

2006 is in the past and however frustrated we may get nothing is going to change history.
No way does anyone expect large numbers of residents around the Leyton Orient ground in their thousands travelling to TW2 on June 9th, but the idea of going on the road is to try and sell the game of Super League and more important London Broncos to a larger audience and we have a better chance of converting at least some fans if we are not tonked! but at the same time we all know that we are looking towards other areas in London if it is decided to relocate.

The issue that all the "lets move" brigade seem to forget is that it doesnt matter where we play if we act as we do (on and off the field)
If a move is coupled with a big serious concerted effort then that is a good thing - except all the time and effort looking for somewhere else to play would more likely be better spent pushing the club where it is - and then follow it up with the big push.

History is useless unles you at least LEARN LESSONS FROM IT!
Quote: jaybs "No way does anyone expect large numbers of residents around the Leyton Orient ground in their thousands travelling to TW2 on June 9th,'" ...doubt you'll get that many of them to the Bradford game if I am honest.
Quote: jaybs " but the idea of going on the road is to try and sell the game of Super League '" Not the Job of the club.........that's the job of the RFL and the Superleague themselves....
Quote: jaybs "and more important London Broncos to a larger audience and we have a better chance of converting at least some fans if we are not tonked!'" ....so why did you just say...
Quote: jaybs "No way does anyone expect large numbers of residents around the Leyton Orient ground in their thousands travelling to TW2 on June 9th,'" ?????
Quote: jaybs "but at the same time we all know that we are looking towards other areas in London if it is decided to relocate.'" ...and a soccer stadium that's not up to ESL Licence requirements is they way to go is it?????
We don't all know anything other than DH would like us to have our own stadium and Gus McK has gone on record as sayig he's visited some sites..........sites with building consent BUT NO FFING FUNDING
.......I dread to think of the spin the club will put on these games if they get more than 4k to each of them...it will be PROOF that East London is best, when in reality, 4k and 5k and upward gates have happened in West London many times over the last 10 years....it's the ability to get people back for all 13 rounds that is totally beyond them.
"Excuses are the currency used to explain away failure".......it's the truth in Sales and it's the truth when it comes to the Broncos.....it's everyone's fault except theirs.

Completely right, never disagreed we have to get it right on and off the pitch! I did feel it is was possible pre-season but we seem to have just fizzled out.
No way do I disagree with gutterfax of course you have to learn lessons from history, but what I say is not Dwell on it. But it is not a matter of using excuses, no one who has trained in marketing would state there reputation that way! marketing is about selling the positives though to do it you also need the budget to carry it through, you first need the product and it has be Right, currently ours is not! I would like to know what part the RFL are playing as part of the deal?

Poor that a professional sportsman hasn't watched one of the biggest sports in his native country. Kinda explains why this nation produces such a consistent stream of mediocre players
