Cheers, if the ESL ever gets most or all of the games televised over there all the games would definitely be shown here.

Then I would record the games on IQ, the problem is there is only one game shown over here and ita mostly other teams. Channel 9 (free to air network) are merkins and treat Rugby League (both NRL and ESL) poorly, when foxtel had the rights to the ESL they showed it professionally.

I don't get all this about how great GP was.

If you had to use the trains, Brentford was pretty hopeless with only 1 train an hour on Sundays and getting kicked out for 7 games in the middle of summer was an absolute bummer.

Football stadia just won't work for us.

Dan-The good thing for me at GP was the seats were a perfect fit for putting a bucket of VB under- 3 beers for each half

In the 'Independent' today, Dave Hadfield reckons that we're reverting to London Broncos next season. Does this mean we can keep Buck and Dusty?

not according to Gus Mackay, who told me personally that "they were associated with the failed Broncos". I reckon if we put enough pressure on, we could keep them, they didn't want to keep them when we first went to Quins and it is more logical to keep them.

There seems to be a bit of a split here. David Hughes is on record as saying he likes the Broncos brand and hinted today he wants it back. Gus seems less convinced. Personally I'm with Gus, it is associated with a failed club, Broncos have no relevance in London and Broncos took 1.5m of taxpayers money south. Between the three I think we'd be better off with another name.

However, I will be buying a season ticket next season. David will be spending a million quid or so. Frankly he's entitled to call us what he wants.

As someone mentioned earlier, 'London Sea Eagles' would seem to be appropriate and also has a nice ring to it.

Why "sea", and why "eagles"?

"C" for Capital, and Eages because we'll be playing at Selhurst Park?

If there was anything totally brilliant and relevant someone would have suggested it by now, and the majority of others would have said, "great, that's what it ought to be". The fact that we're all still speculating and throwing suggestions around shows it's all a bit of a lottery really.

First of all we don't want anything that leads people to believe we might be playing a different sport. We were "Harlequins Rugby League", so I don't see why we can't be plain "London Rugby League". At least it leaves no room for doubt. ("London Thirteen" is my favourite unique suggestion I've heard made so far, as opposed to copying names from NRL clubs like Eels or Sea Eagles.)

Judging by the last paragraph in the Indies piece about Rob yesterday, the name is a done deal.

No it won't. Winning at home and not constantly being out of the game at H/T will result in better atmospheres. We'll be doing better next year, because we will actually have a better side. It has nothing to do with the name or pointless re-naming.

Of course that will make a difference, but it has been decided that there will be a change of name and it is time we all moved on, it is your opinion that it is pointless but then I an nearly 2,000 others who responded do not agree, for the good of the club lets move on and all accept it, I would have if a majority had decided they wanted to stay as quins.
