As mentioned above Henderson mentioned last night news on coaching role. Is he the new Tony Rae!!

It’s sad for them as individuals as they will have had high hopes but the quality of performance, results and squad (for which I assume they have some responsibility) meant a change was inevitable. Half way through the season sounds about the right time for a change and the move to a full time coach seems smart ( what a shame we dismissed that idea at the start of this transitional year- hybrid model anyone?) The problem though is this whilst a FT post will increase the number and quality of applicant as it stands we have our fitness coach leading us into 2 of the most important fixtures of the season. He’s a very well respected fitness coach but he isn’t a coach by fault or design. I do hope we get a shift on and I hope we consider bringing in some FT players short term at least. Crikey what a life.

John Kear is available and we must be one of the only clubs he has not coached at.

Full time post may appeal to him but the squad we have: I don’t know.it doesn’t take much to lose a reputation in the coaching game and then where next? I suspect he’ll give Broncos a swerve. We’ll see. All the best.

Hendo’s no Danny Ward but maybe he could either get more out of the squad or tempt a decent player or two to join us and help save the season.

I stated that we should have gone straight in for Kear as soon as he became available.

Have done with it Hughes, go & grovel as though your life depended on it & get Ward back.

The chaotic way we do things it’s possible we may get our next coach out of a skip.

It won’t be Kear. He is enjoying media work and focussing on the
RLWC.
Wardy won’t come back after the way he was treated.
Whoever it is must be able to move down south so anyone with
family ties up north will struggle.

I would get Jamie Langley back.

Depends what he can wring out of Hughes in order to overcome those feelings. He of course may prefer to be a defence coach of a fairly nowhere RU team, who knows. Ward at least avoids having to move "down south".

He's coaching a London and South u18s 'All Star' Team vs Milford (?) before main game Friday Night Lights at Skolars. No idea who'll be playing as the u18s comp went down the gurgler earlier in the year.
