| Its Likely we will gain less Dons fans than they have lost in legacy fans, with the decision to go part time with very weak squad and coach out of his depth

Add in doing this move during a pandemic, not being clear about where games would be played (in 2021) and sharply increasing many season tickets, with no covid related refunds. Given all that I'm surprised crowds have been as good as they have been. I thought about going yesterday for the first time this year but it was either a drive all around the M25, including Dartford twice or public transport, with rail replacement buses in this part of Essex. Probably a two and a half hour journey each way. Neither option appealed. I then learned there were issues on the District line so a good decision.

| If they offered tickets for £1, I might go not for the rugby, but after reading multiple times how good the food at mypie is from @smithers99, to try one of their specials. But the rugby is not high enough standard right now to justify the effort of getting there.

Everything you say here is true. Would have been interesting to have been a fly on the wall as these plans came together. I get the arguments for a ground move (although the fact it’s predicated on the nonsense of the authorities of a game where even the best sides rarely get deep into 5 figures telling us we need a better ground when we really didn’t- can’t be overlooked) but how would the discussions on team strength and off field match day experience have gone? “Let’s get a few in from Skolars and hope for the best. What about match day experience chief? Open the gates and let them find the bar. Job done.” I hope we can muddle through to next season still in this league and then do it all over again but in a joined up sensible way.

This is worse.
Hughes has nowhere to hide this year. He is 100% responsible, but he doesn't care......he's already said he's off in a few years and is scaling down his input with an inane reference to his son being a "fan" followed by my 5,000 fan figure that I have him to his face in 2009.
For 15+ years he overpaid players, ignored bad coaching runs and ignored any form of marketing, just so he could sit in his seat and watch his team.
His 2026 pipe dream of 5,000 fans is a fallacy.....,he's looking for the exit and Wimbledon kicking us out (1k average won't cover their costs and the bars/food franchises won't open) will be a perfect excuse.
It's not just him though. Loubser was key in this stupid reboot that has failed.....he should go now......

Do not forget the Monkey he had a lot to do with the moving from Ealing as he did not think much of the facilities. The monkey has seen the writing on the wall and walked away.

Now I'm under pressure! I think anybody who can deliver nice mash and a tasty gravy (and plenty of it) has made a good start. Haven't encountered any poor quality meat in the pies either. Whether it is too everybody's liking I can't say, but I'd be surprised if many (any) said it was awful.
What is telling is I would recommend the pies, but currently (despite enjoying each match so far) I wouldn't be bringing anybody along yet. Partly lack of confidence that the Broncos will be competitive, but more about improving the match day experience. The danger is getting bored, but that is hugely mitigated by a good general experience.

| The on and off field experience is absolutely key to retaining new supporters. I eventually decided to take my son along to our first game a few years back on the basis, at the very least it would be good to see elite athletes even if they were on the opposing side. My gut feeling was that Broncos would lose and their team would be slightly soulless in the style of the modern iteration of Watford FC filled with journeymen Aussies but I thought RL was potentially an exciting game and that it was worth a punt. The fact they won and played well encouraged me to sign my son up to the Foals club ( who sent him free stuff and a birthday card) and we’ve been ST ever since. If our first match had been that Haven game we wouldn’t have come again. If the Widnes or Bradford game maybe/probably not- that is where the fuller match day experience comes in. Despite a big new stadium (3/4 of which is closed) the off field stuff is really, really light touch. I urge Broncos management to get this stuff out of first gear before the opportunities of this relaunch are lost.

Yep. 2 adverts in the free press announce a KO time and expect them to flock in.
Follow it up by begging local amateur clubs to come for free and then follow that up by discounting across the board......no so much strategic as idiotic
