Won't The Hive only have a 5,000 capacity? If that it the case thats not big enough for a Super League ground.
Do you know something that we don't, if the Broncos are moving to The Hive?

The Hive is an option.
The 5k capacity is really not an issue as we are doomed for the lowed leagues anyway...the Hive will be a tidy little ground with neighbours that hate us.....which will make a massive change from neighbours who don't know we exist

| I think what the RFL should be looking at for SL clubs rather than the 10000 seat issue is insisting all clubs have grounds with decent facilities irrelevant of capacity.
Not that I want to be seen to knock any club in particular but the RFL still allow Cas to run on with there ground in the state its in. Don't get me wrong, I love that sort of ground, compact! you are close the action, there is terracing where you can stand BUT you then look at the parking and the toilets, changing rooms for teams and officials etc!
instead of carte blanche look at clubs individually, a purpose built 5000 seater stadium with good facilities for a club that draws 2-3000 occasionally 4000 has to be better for the image of the game.
Broncos as a club we all know do not market the game very well if at all, there is all this talk of attracting the locals! Utter tosh, we are LONDON our catchment area is not Twickenham/Richmond/Feltham/Staines it is massively bigger than that which is what the club have not grasped and does spread outside the M 25
Logistically marketing that is not easy but that a whole different thread as we all know.
But the club has to stay in LONDON and draw in from around.

| It's been rumoured already that when the Super League is restructured the demands on grounds will be lowered, in the current financial crisis it is just out of the question to think clubs can invest in new grounds, also councils do not have the money available.
Most Northern clubs had their own ground to sell to a property developer or supermarket chain and this helped a lot with new development work of a stadium.

| lets see what happens with any re structure, knowing our lot someone will step in with some money we will end up with a decent squad next year win some games and end up in the upper tier!
In reality, SL has stagnated a wee bit so a change AGAIN will probably be good for the game, they would have to bring promotion and relegation in though

If you looked at what the RFL do you would realise this is taken into account.
The relevent remarks from the franchise grading summary are as follows:
London Broncos: "Its current facility is excellent"
Castleford Tigers: "Hamstrung by an inadequate facility"

| London in London....even if it's in the 2nd(middle) tier of a "new SL structure is key. Kent Invicta .v2 would do nothing for the growth of the game.

I'm afraid to say that all the while your mate gus is doing nothing about match day promotions the Broncos could play in the middle of the M25 and people wouldn't know, such is the mans lack of knowhow on the subject.

Part of the problem "back in the day" is that expansion sides had their players based up north and they would live and train in Yorkshire and just travel down on the day to play the game. Some teams had two separate groups of players: one in the north and one locally and they would train separately. However bad Broncos problems might be, they don't have this problem.
The other issue is that there wasn't an appropriate league to play in and so being the whipping boy in the lowest league was a certainty - see Skolars when they were a new side. New sides coming in this time have had it much easier. There probably could never be a repeat of the Invicta situation (and they were never a 2nd tier side anyway).
