Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| There was a shot of the pitch on 'Wales Today' last night and it was under water - no way the game could have been played. It would also seem that the reason we were shifted to Thursday was that with the Ospreys playing the Scarlets at Swansea tonght the authorities weren't prepared to have two games with large attendances that close to each other on the same day.

Presumably the Ospreys v Llanelli match had been scheduled since the start of the current union season in September - if this was going to cause a problem you'd think someone would have noticed it earlier than a fortnight ago!

No, it was down as either 2/3/4 April, depending on TV schedules.

| I reckon it's another example of the RFL favouring clubs outside the traditional areas by giving them an easier Easter programme

| I went up to the ground last night and believe me the pitch was totally unplayable. The weather driving into wales was totally freakish all day, snow on higher ground, bright sunshine followed by torrential rain.
There wasn't anything that could of been done.

FFS if there's any truth in this it's pathetic. The Ospreys game was a 7pm kick off. Had our game at Neath kicked off at 3pm there would be over two hours clearance between the two matches. Or it could have been 2pm, as Scorpions' Sunday games kick off at that time.
Or here's a really radical idea - perhaps they could have played it at f***ing Wrexham, as that's where the host club supposedly plays and Wrexham AFC had no game today.
Tomorrow Leyton Orient have a home match; their crowds are roughly what Crusaders might have expected against us as a best case scenario, and Arsenal are at home at the same time, which is roughly the same distance from Leyton as Swansea is from Neath. How will the local infrastructure and authorities possibly cope!

4438_1358277234.jpg Didn't gat an answer when I asked Radford how much he paid Stokes to save his job.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_4438.jpg |

| We had a quite a good night in Neath. Asked a local what to do on a wet Thursday night in Neath and the reply was "go to Swansea"!!! The few of us that were there went up to the Neath Rugby club bar and watched Leeds Bradford and interacted with the very friendly locals - so friendly they gave us some of their curry that they had ordered in. They were all gutted the game was postponed and ther didn't seem to be any animosity to "League" at all.
Bit ironic staying in the hotel where the Welsh Rugby Union was founded!

| I felt more sorry for the Crusaders fans coming from Wrexham, 5 hours through rain and snow to get there, and presumably back. I took us three and a half hours.

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |
|
| It took us 4 hours there and nearly 6 hours back (and cost us about £150).
Still, being Quins fans we are used to adversity and as Paddock says, we did have a jolly night in Neath RC and the locals were a good bunch (could have done without the hangover during the awful drive home though!)

I bloody didn't. When this season's fixtures were released Crusaders were supposedly playing at Newport and nobody in Wrexham had heard of rugby league.

| Who do I dislike more - Skolars or Crusaders? Hmm. Probably Crusaders, by a short head.

| As stated on here earlier..at least the team should be fresh for HKR with no game last Thursday....unfortunately after a night on the lash in Neath I felt like cr@p for 2 solid days .But I have to say it was a good night despite no match and was still worth the trip ..Paddock and WQ please stop me after the first 8-10 pints as that Weatherspoons beer called Einstien strangely enough didnt improve my ability to think...oddly enough it made thought nigh on impossible...If there was any ghosts in our supposed haunted hotel they would never have managed to wake me up even if they had tipped the bed upside down....
