They should be well aware of the fans feelings if the Monkey & the Lobster have any ability. I would hope the beloved Supporters Club (if it still has any members) are forcefully making supporters views known.

Wow this thread has blown up since my last post..

So explaining where I stand here
1) Last year we had 3 Gold Season tickets (2 full, 1 concession), so the ticket cost is not that big a difference for us in terms of outlay
2) The big increase for us is getting to the ground. £5 per game for parking for three of us in a small susuki alto, compared now to £60 per game for the three of us to get to Plough Lane
3) Also I really can't see my Dad being able to do the trip, considering how full the bus is likely to be on the return back, and the fact of waiting times on a Sunday

So we are still supportive of the club, but for 2021 I don't see us attending any games (me and my brother will probably go to the Bradford game, just to get an idea of the trip, to see if we feel my dad can make it, if that goes ok, then we might attend more)

Now for 2022, if the club was to get into an parking arragement with a local school or similar (like at Brentford when there was also very limited parking), I can see us coming back next year, but 450+ in travel costs for 9 games its not really worth the hassle considering at best we are a mid table team. I still remember the 2015 shambles vs Hunslet, and I fear a few more like that coming this year.

I think our live sports fix for 2021 will start in september watching Surry Scorchers basketball, and hopefully in 2022 the club will have some form of parking arrangements in place, and we will look to come back. But 60 pounds for the three of us to travel when it used to be 5 for parking is something we probabaly will not be able to justify apart from the odd game

I'd suggest speaking to the club when the ground is named.

Credit where credit is due, the club assisted a terminally ill friend of mine, ensuring they could attend one last game the season before last.

I'd hope that if there is a disabled space going un-booked - I presume they are pre-booking - they would allow you to park under the circumstances, albeit you'd have uncertainty game to game whether the space was free. Not ideal but hopefully something would be possible.

I'm not blaming the club, I know their hands are tied in lot of this, and its a lot of moving parts... Problem is he is not Disabled / just late 70's so not that mobile any more. For me its just the logistics of it, I know the club have limited options and I really hope it all works out for them this year.

I'm out of touch, does the supporters club have any lobbying function or is it simply a group of individuals (apologists) in the back pocket of the club?

I noticed on the face book page there were six comments on a post about memberships, you could only see one, the other five had been blocked.

I and the rest of my family are blocked too. Some Monkey does not like criticism.
This does not reflect well on the club though.

Surprised they have time to block anyone in between peddling player sponsorships. It's all they seem to communicate via social media. Shambles.

You should wear your banning as a badge of Pride.

I'm only a Trust member, not on the committee or anything. The Trust has a few roles - it sponsors the Academy, it raises funds for Broncos-linked charity events, it established and maintains a player database, and hosts events, etc. It would like to have a more formal relationship with the club, but the Broncos keep it very much at arms length - although it is happy to accept money from the trust. It still exists, and will probably be around as long as the club is.

The OSG provides the club with a fig leaf to say it is listening to fans, so it can continue to ignore the Trust.

That's a step up from recent months, where they've mostly been promoting the commercial manager's private company.

The Trust have also done a lot of work on the clubs heritage. Something the club are now showing now showing some interest in.

Not the only place you can get banned from accorrding to certain supporters of the club.

Hopefully BOSG will take up the issue of fans being blocked / posts deleted by Broncos.

I didn't see any of the posts and the Broncos may have a reasonable explanation however: it needs raising to verify that is the case.

The RFL are placing a lot of weight on social media following, arguably too much. It was one of the SL application criteria when Leigh went up from memory.

Any policy that may drive people away from Broncos social media needs careful thought and implementation. BOSG will be doing the club a favour if they verify this is the case.
