Rise above the abuse I say. I couldn't care less what a few idiots from Hull are going on about, give it back if needed and just enjoy the rugby.

But Dave, no one wants to be subject to abuse at a game. I (and many if not all others) want to see a decent game in a nice, friendly atmosphere. It will put off newbies and some old timers if the real QRL fans aren't heared by those within the club.

I've had plenty of cases of abuse being directed at me and others, especially by Hull fans, but I don't let it get to me to the extent that it actually stop me watching professional Rugby League in the South and the club that I have watched for 10 years. Doesn't bother me, especially if we are winning Over-reaction IMO.

What do we have to do, wrap our supporters up in cotton wool? Best not get to any away matches then.

True, I agree. Should be a specfic area for families as is exercised at other clubs (both unofficially and officially).

Can you sit behind the sticks if you like? I noticed the Wigan fans were, well I think it was Wigan.

But last time we came it was closed off. I much prefer seating behind the sticks at the stoop. It's a very nice ground.

Lister we are not all as thick skinned as you. I don't go for abuse I go to enjoy a game. I don't want to sit in such an atmosphere. If you can rise above it then good for you but not all of us can. I could not yell abuse at an away fan it's not in my nature. I don't need to be wrapped in cotton wool and I have been to a massive amount of away games but these last three home games have been beyond what any reasonable fan should tolerate. But other clubs season ticket holders don't have to sit with away fans Maybe I need lessons from you.

It would be nice to think the club would take notice and act on it. History shows they won't but, the new broom and all that....

Find this series of posts all rather boring. Still one must allow QRL 'fans' - as against long term supporters of RL - to 'moan & grouse'. Otherwise what else can the [QRL] fans really write about.......the majority of our 'fans' have little real understanding of the 'greatest game'...though after nearly 30 seasons their are some around starting to learn the rules and get an basic understanding of the skills involved.

I have to agree and will also not renew my gold season ticket next season if I have to sit in the East Stand. I also understood that the Gold seats were not going to be sold to away fans but there were a number just in front of us at the Wigan game. Not that I mind away fans who are usually great and cause no trouble but why say one thing and then completely ignore it.

The rowdy lot at lets say my club Warrington all stand together

Thus geeing each other up and singing louder which then infects and spreads through the crowd.

They stand where they want in the south stand, if you want 'your' space you get there early.

If you want specific seats in the north or east stands you book your ticket.


So open a stand for away and one for home let people go where they want to and it will improve the atmosphere

if you spread the rowdy Wire fans up (which you did) it decreases the likely hood of a really rowdy atmosphere.
