Advertising, Marketing, Merchandising and PR is a disaster.
I will support the club through thick and thin (and even thinner, lmao) and will attend the Hive (actually easier for me with my Tube Staff Pass and the Stoop being a b'stad of a place to get to).
Heres to 9th place! (Don't ask me why, but thats what my money is on!).'"
I don't think any of us disagree. But it's all been said and we are where we are now. Its time to move on and support the team for as long as we have one. Who knows whats round the corner - look at Salford. Where there's life there's hope. When we can't see top grade RL in London we will all be browned off so lets enjoy what we have while we have it.

| Its all too late in the day but a string of announcements about player signings (up to them to deliver), ticket info, training ground sorted, positive comments about the office staff, an open day, a fans forum (couple of seasons late). Progress of sorts.
Just need an announcement of a extra players including a couple of scary props, a new kit.
And bags of optimism, though 12th will be a miracle at this point.

| Think I'm going to stick to the odd walk up ticket next year, The Stoop was about 50 mins each way in the car, but the Hive is over an hour and a half each way by car, and a bit longer by public transport. So is probably doubling journey time. I usually take one or both of my kids with me (to give the wife some peace) but dragging them that far is not fun. It will be interesting to see what happens, whether Barnet FC can attract some new fans, as I'm not convinced Edgware is better connected to serve the diaspora that is our fan base unless you are handy for the Jubilee Line.

| Quote: Kelvin's Ferret "It does seem a terrible faff, and it appears that there is a "joining fee" equivalent to one month's membership. The only thing that is not really clear, probably quite deliberately too, is whether the joining fee in January, which is off-season is charget at off-season rate or on-season rate? I suspect you have to pay the "on-season rate" for joining even if you're "off-season".
All this ing around with memberships seems like a scam to keep fans paying money when they've nothing of interest to offer. I realise beggars can't be choosers, but how many other clubs apart from Barnet FC actually have this kind of arrangement? Are there are any serious clubs out there that do this? It's just so much easier to have an up front season price to pay each year and then it's sorted. And what's the deal with the bars, am I right in thinking you need to pay extra for your membership if you want to go for a drink? What about people buying on the day (especially away fans) are we going to tell them no beer? All very strange to someone who is used to proper season tickets.'"
Largely my thoughts.
I did some quick calculations yesterday. Because of the joining fee, it still works out cheaper if I go to 9 home games next year and pay on the gate, than it would be to get membership (if I stand in one of the stands behind the sticks).
It's also worth remembering that, and I think this is correct, if you stop your membership at any point and then restart it again, you have to pay another joining fee.
I think the membership model is quite clever from a business perspective, but it's not one I'll be indulging in since I am highly unlikely to watch at least a quarter of our matches. I'm not going to bother watching us play the likes of Wigan or Warrington. I've seen quite enough of us being stuffed by 50, 60 points and fail to see how any of that will change in 2014 given the squad we're putting together.

| I didn't notice the joining fee, but here in the small print it says you do have to cough up one months fee on top of the monthly price.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO PAY UPON SIGNING UP TO A BRONCOS MEMBERSHIP AND WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
- The first step to sign up is to complete an application form. You can visit The Hive where a member of our commercial team will be on hand to give you a guided tour of the stadium and take you through the sign up process.
- Upon completion you will pay a joining fee equating to one month's membership and for the month you're in. For example a West Stand Premium member would pay £29 to sign up and £29 for their first month.
- From there a monthly direct debit start the following month which will be collected on the 1st or the 16th of the month depending on if you join before or after the 16th.
CAN I PAY FOR MONTHS IN ADVANCE?
- YES! Supporters can purchase any number of months in advance but must be a minimum of three months at a time. Please be aware that if your membership isn't renewed and expires you will have to complete the sign up process including the joining fee again.

Although if you join in January this line "Upon completion you will pay a joining fee equating to one month's membership and for the month you're in. " suggests you pay just £2 per adult as the fee.

| I wish it was true but the membership will start from february and the joining fee will be the £29pm. I've never been happy about the joining fee and a flat rate of £5-10 makes more sense to me than this variable rate which seems really odd.
I think the key issue from what is being said is the number of home games per month is 1 maybe 2 when football is nearly double that. This makes the membership offered poorer value for Rugby League than when compared to the football membership.
Premium WestExample:
Broncos assuming 15 games (including challenge cup - probably showing my ignorance here ,would also include any home friendlies)
On the door = £345 @ £23 per game
Bronco Membership = £213pa @ £14.20 per game.
Bronco Mmbrshp + joining = £242 @ £16.13 per game.
Hive Membership, book online = £309.25 @ £20.62 per game.
Meaning Hive membership is only value for money if you go to 13 or more games.
The Broncos membership is cheaper compared to Hive membership or full price if you go to 10 games or more (11 including joining fee)
Barnet FC assuming 27 games
On the door = £621 @ £23
Bees Membership = £348pa @ £12.88 per game.
Bees Membership + Joining = £377 @ £13.96
Hive Membership, book online = £553.85 @ £20.51 per game.
Meaning Hive membership is cheaper if you go to 24 games.
Bees membership is cheaper if you go to 15 (16 with joining fee) games compared to full price or 17 (18 with joining fee) games with Hive membership.
Sorry if I have got carried away. I guess the point I am making is that while at first glance Barnet and Bronco fans are being asked to pay the same, the maths show the Barnet membership is better value. Most noticable is when comparing the Membership including the joining fee as the Bronco membership is 15% more expensive.

| look at the membership its thing similar to joining a gym! you have to pay a joining fee for a gym generally, and come on lets be honest you are gonna use more heartbeats watching the Broncs than any session in a gym!!
elation/panic/despair/joy the lot all rolled in to one session.
Settle down gutters I know you will have to comment saying there will be little elation or joy, I will say it for you!!

| On this membership lark, is there any point in joining in February as it appears to me that with only one game scheduled, a 'member' would pay more that someone paying on the gate against Salford?
