The clubs that bring the bigger away following go in that stand-Simple- What do Leeds offer to the away support-A crumbling terrace with no cover, behind the sticks-Hmmm

At least you get a seat down south!!!

Segregation is not enforced in any stand at Headingley
You can buy a ticket in any stand at Headingley
You have a choice of seating or standing at Headingley, covered or not covered
This response is the same as the Huddersfield fans, ignore the problem and try and have a dig at another team which is superior, oh dear

There aren't any problems. You could have sat where you wanted yesterday - an area of the stand was taped off, that isn't segregation is it? But ignorant Leeds fans elected to ignore this. I assume it would have been OK for me to stand in the taped off area at the front of the South Stand?

Dont engage with the facts, ignore it if you wish, but it's not my club that will suffer for it

icon_surprised.gif Agreed. Headingley is an utter disgrace, yes they have spent money on the Carneige Stand but the rest of it isn't fit for purpose. Leeds should be a far bigger club than they are support wise. Headingley is holding them back. The Score Board end is a joke. The South Stand failed it's safety inpection a year ago and had to have a load of remedial work, it's literally falling to bits.

I know you don't engage with the facts, hence ignoring my whole post - this the problem that we are facing here.

Also, with such a small crowd what gives with the segregation?? It was daft enough having to sit behind the posts but a bossy little woman tried to make us all sit on the right hand side of the taped off area. Quinns trying to introduce something RL has managed to avoid to date. All the friction died down when the Rhino fans just decided to ignore both her and her toy boy and fill the stand accordingly!!!!'"

The only segregation at The Stoop is to do with the seating categories and prices. The "bossy little woman" was a steward trying to do her job and ensure that you all sat in the seats you'd paid for. So you lecture us on how to run a club and then show your support by insisting on sitting somewhere you weren't entitled to. You'd be perfectly free to sit in that area if you'd paid for that category of seat.

If ever I go to Headingly again I'm sure you'll assist me to get a seat right next to Gary Hetherington even though I've only paid for a ticket on a grotty uncovered terrace.

talk about selective posting! the north stand and the hospitality suite has as good of facilities you will find world wide! If it's good enough for the ICC it's good enough for anything or anyone! those guys don't mess around with the prawn sangers. the southstand is to be rebuilt at seasons end! it's pretty bling bling! And agreed the westen terrace is naf but red tape stop any major bulding work due to the road and houses behind the stand. headingley is an awesome ground. We still get about double your attendence in our beloved restricted southstand!

Quote: leeds_82 "With all the colours and classic possibilities that you have in probably one of the most unique styles - you come up with a black shirt and white v with the number 30. A marketing joke, when so many would buy a quinns style shirt as a reminder of a good trip down south. '"

With all the colours and possibilities we chose one based on our first ever shirt as Fulham RLFC. What's wrong with that?

The shirt is aimed at our own supporters, quite a few of whom were already sporting one on the first day they were on sale; it isn't aimed at the tiny niche market of away supporters who might be minded to wear a rival club's shirt.

My only criticism of it is that it's not a more precise replica of the original Fulham shirt. The white chevron is clearly much thicker and the red piping is so thin as to be almost invisible. Having gone to the trouble to arrange such a shirt I wish it was a bit closer to the original, and the white material used appears to have an odd fluffy texture. It's still a nice looking old fashioned cotton rugby shirt though. I might get one but right now I like my current away shirt too much to wear any other Quins shirt.

Prince of Denmark - my point entirely! As for the "segregation" comment, it's absolute rubbish. You could have bought a ticket for the Etihad Stand, as indeed many Leeds fans who were sat in there did.

Try reading the post before you go off on one, there was segregation within the stand behind the posts, Leeds fans directed to one half and Quins the other, those trying to sit in the "wrong" half were asked to leave by stewards or cut off before they could get there

The reason there was segregation was that there were a load of kids playing around the Stoop during the day who were given free tickets to the game. Unfortunately it would seem that not many of them took up the offer and were taken home by Mum and Dad etc when they finished rather than come and watch the game. Disappoiniting given what we are trying to achieve but I guess the England USA match didn't help. I was speaking to a coach at a local club and he couldn't beleive it and was really frustrated. So apologies to the Leeds fans but there you have it - it was hoped that about 500+ kids and relatives would be in "our bit" and I guess it made sense to have them in one bit as for many it would have been their first game.

And with all the empty bits in your ground they had to choose the end we had paid to sit in and divide it into two parts with red tape and stewards who asked you to move if you sat in the wrong half. That was my point and a silly mistake that could have spoilt a great day. It didn't - due to the fact that when our half was full Leeds fans just went and sat in the other half of the end and the atmosphere was good.

At Leeds I still tend to switch ends at half time though the Carnegie end is in theory for ticket holders only. The year it poured down at Saints resulted in the covered end being packed to the rafters with both sets of fans and a great atmosphere. Sadly there was segregation at Quinns last weekend and I just thought it worth mentioning the mistake.

I repeat that we had a great day out and will continue with a must away fixture each season, but with you having so much trouble getting London based fans to use free tickets I was just trying to suggest how you could use the visiting fan base as a target group. thats the bit you are missing. Its the same idea behind the sale of your shirts - Target away fans who want to purchase a classic design at a decent price.

so thanks for a great day out and keep it going.
