Think we should let Temata go, takes up an overseas spot and getting on a bit, think he's 33 this year.
Agree Lister about Williams, but I think the club have a tendancy to give our yoof a new contract if they feature for a few games. I suppose it's make or break for him over the next few months.
I'd look down under for a new 7 - there are some gems in the under 20s if we check the right places, Dobson for example.

Maybe we could flog him to Bradford?

| Agree re Williams.
Would offer Ward and Temata another year - Ward has been excellent this season and Temata is one of our few "big" players, but fitness an issue and he may have had enough. Melling i think is a great asset and i would keep him 2 years. Chad - need to see how rest of season pans out, but he hasnt looked the same player this year

| Purdham's a no-brainer as long as he still wants to play down here. I'd have probably had enough by now and taken an easier option with one of the bigger clubs but maybe he hasn't had the chance!
Ellis should be able to name his price - as for the others its all a bit less clear cut. I like Melling and think he's a useful player to have in the team (so long as he's kept in the backs) and Wilkes has perked up this year. Recruitment will be something that Powell, like McDermott before him will be judged upon and he'll need to pull a few rabbits out of the hat this coming year (we can't keep relying on loan signings to bolster the squad)

Has looked "out of sorts" in the 2 matches I've seen him play. I realise he is a popular player with the fans but sport is really no place for sentiment from management.
Can we really have players in the squad "making" up the numbers??

| Agree with a three year contract for Ellis, he's doing really well. Purdo is an obvious for a new contract offer. Give Williams the elbow - he's out of his depth in Super League. Wilkes, Ward and Melling should also get new contract offers.

| At the risk of being the club apologist again to some people remember we have to have a certain number of club trained in the squad (unlike it seems HKA)! I thought Dave Williams had his best game last week - I beleive they say props aren't at their best until about 26 - 28.

| Agree with that extent Paddock, but wouldn't mindseeing Ben Hodgson getting a squad number next year in as a home grown replacement.
Think we should be looking for a younger, faster front row next season, which is why I'd release Ward and Temata. As for Randall, I don't think he's been the same since we played Hull KA away in 09, and that's why I'd look for change in the halves. Wouldn't mind seeing an unpredictable 7 coming in, a bit like a Rangi Chase or even a Brough-like, 'cause I think we've been predictable so far this season on the last tackle and especially our kicking game.
As for Melling, I'm not sure where he'd fit. Unless we kept him as a backup LF, I don't think he's a SR and I don't think he's the best winger at the club.

| Who would you suggest to replace Ward and Temata, who are doing perfectly well at the momment?

| New players in. Temata would free up an overseas place, so would look for a Pacific Islander NRL player, a big beast-like player that I think we're missing. I'd replace Ward with Krasniqi and bring in Ambler on a permanent deal.

Krasniqi as our starting prop? Are you serious? In partnership with Ambler? We'd be hammered every week.

| Nope, off the bench. Wilkes and a new signing would be my choice of starting props. I doubt we'd be hammered every week if Krasniqi played, I mean we've lost 82-6 and 52-32 without him in the team.
