| Quote: gutterfax "Judging by the pics posted of the North Stand...less than 100 in there.....3052 is the lowest gate for an FC game since 2000.....
Current average after 3 games is 2,480...down 27% on last years totals and 18% on like for like attendances in 2010. By the time the unlucky club finds out that they are being removed from SL in July we could be sitting on an average gate of well under 3k......I am sure that it won't go un-noticed by the flatearth society
Yeah but crowds aren't down. Like I say, Sunday's 3052 would have been called 4200 in previous years.

| Can't we just called it 6000 then and keep the flat-earthers off our back?

| Anyone out in the bars in Twickenham before KO? Did you see any marketing push by Quins to get casual fans into the ground with flyers etc??

| There were a couple of women wearing the away kit giving out flyers at the station. They seemed to be garnering some interest when I went past. To be honest I doubt they were doing much more immediately before the games as it is really too late by then. If you are arriving in time to get to us for 2.00 but planning on going to the union it implies you already have a plan - meet friends etc.

| I guess that was stage one.....proper step would be (and you'd need enough volunteers to do it) getting people out to main London train stations (Waterloo, Clapham, Paddington etc) a couple of days before the match and getting the message out. That would give people the time to decide and then come along.....but it's only as good as those people handing the flyers out I guess.

.....and still there at 1.50 when I walked past the station and persuaded at least 2 strays to go to the game because the strays followed me down to the ground.

| I was at the game (which was really enjoyable btw although disappointing result) and was surprised it was as low as just over 3k. I was thinking at least over 4.
Not sure if it was the sunshine but it was the best atmosphere I've experienced at your ground for a while and as a sort of neutral (I was cheering for you) it was an enjoyable game to attend. Dorn's one handed pick up near the touchline in the 1st half and his around the back effort for the try in the 2nd definitely the highlights.
Watching Quins is a bit like watching Wires in the early 2000s. I think that's why I quite like it!! Can't get used to this winning trophies and being good business!

| Looks like from this topic the attendance was higher than normal (I wasn't there unfortunately) and that the official figure given by the club is "accurate" now as opposed to previous made up figures. Lets hope they made some money of the RU casual fans....and that a couple return in future for a sunny day of rugby!

"That wasn't a kick, the was a pass with his foot!" Brian Noble making Andrew Voss lose sleep: |

| I think the Official figure is a bit underestimated again, but there wasn't much more than a hundred in the north stand.
Is that why the hull fans were ejected? For having AGAR OUT? Tee shirts?
They missed a cracking comeback that we let them have

| Someone had an AGAR OUT banner up before kick off, which was swiftly removed.

I don't think they were actually ejected for wearing the shirts. I noticed they seemed to be having some sort of heated verbal altercation with other (presumably pro-Agar) Hull fans immediately after they equalised at 12-12. I stopped looking at them at that point, but a couple of minutes later I saw the stewards move in and escort them from the ground.

| as desperate as we are for fans, it's good to see that we still have principles and will eject unrully fans.
I may be wrong, but wasn't there an "event" with FC fans when the club was in their first tennancy at the stoop?....it was one of the reasons that some of the union lot on their forums weren't keen on as a second time.

If the club were only going to budget for two people leafleting for 2 or 3 hours then Twickenham station was exactly the right place to put them. Basically you would be looking to persuade people to turn right and go to the Stoop for the game and a beer rather than tiurning left to the Cabbage Patch etc.
It would have been much more difficult to target the right people at mainline stations even on the day of the game.
