Altogether now...."We've got the worst coach in Super League..."'"
May I suggest that in order to get wiggy mentioning it and the cameras showing them, a more subtle approach than SACK MAC placards?
Hows about pictures of Big Macs with a red cross on them and no text?

| lmfao - Ok so we get rid of Brian and then what?
we will still have the same team that rolled over and played dead as yesterday
we have this team as we can't afford anyone else and can't attract anyone else down here.
do you really think the team will suddenly get better overnight if he does go?
i'm not looking at the team through Quins coloured glasses, however i am getting pretty sick of the constant whinging on here. We have had a paper thin squad for the last couple of years and a really bad run on injuries. anyone we attracted to the club soon turned tail and left ( often before playing a game ) we are now struggling to attract the aussies who want to top up their pensions.
We are a club struggling on all fronts and a get Mac out campaign is a distraction that the team could do without
I know there will be a lot on here that will disagree with me

I genuinely believe he has shot his bolt- Sunday was a just another capitulation sadly a regular occurrence. I accept he has a difficult task due to limited resources, injuries but their seems to be a culture of lying down. It would be difficult for him to turn it around as its the same voice saying something different
Whether we get better overnight is questionable although Smith turned Wire around pretty quickly and McGuire with an off season has certainly improved Wigan without adding any players. Brown improved Hudds very quickly and that improvement continues. On the flip side Walters it would appear has taken Catalans backwards.
As a team we are uncomfortable with the ball in hand which suggests we have no confidence

Quins/Broncos supporters are the least likely that I can think of to jump into a sack the coach mentality unlike supporters of most other teams, so this feeling that Mac needs replacing is I guess a result of many different frustrations all coming together. A lot of the reasons are without doubt due to injuries and a paper thin squad and for that Mac is unlucky, but
a lot of us have supported the team through some pretty lean periods, not least the whole of '98 & 2000 seasons, Stains post CCF, Monie pre dicking, but I do not recall a period ever when so many things atributed to a coach are in place.
The lack of any reasoning for the constant poor performances, especially balanced against the first half of last season.
The lack of any development [as opposed to being percieved as cannon fodder] of the much vaunted Yoof of London, in fact in many seasoned and respected viewers eyes [not including me in that august group] many with potential are now going backwards.
Again in the eyes of people whose opinions I respect the judgement in regards to the tactical nous being deployed, I can understand and accept one off abberations and deviations from game plans, but the consistent style of play indicates something else.
The massive requirement to increase crowds, now I am no expert here either, but on a purely personal level I can invest my time and money and that of friends far more easily if the team are being beaten, BUT, are trying to play attractive Rugby while doing so and we are being given reasoning behind decisions to back this up.
There has never in my recall been anything like the sadness and worse, the lack of caring anymore among the supporters.

Well it may get better or not with a new coach but we know we're going nowhere with the current one! I think we've nothing to lose by trying someone currently an NRL assistant looking to make a name for himself. And who's not scared of a challenge. i know we have limited resources, injuries etc but surely another coach could do no worse? We're rock bottom FFS!

| Brian McDermott has urged both his Harlequins RL side and their fans to cast aside the disappointment of falling to the foot of the Super League table when they welcome Huddersfield Giants this weekend.
Quins hit rock-bottom after a 26-22 home defeat to the previously winless Salford City Reds on Sunday, despite holding an 18-4 lead after 50 minutes.
But McDermott insists now is not the time for blame and recriminations.
He said: “I know people will look at the score and see we lost at home to Salford and be negative about it but we cannot afford for that to happen.
“It was not a case of us throwing the game away or anything like that.
“Salford just got hold of the game with their kicking tactics in the second half and we just could not get away from our line.
“We did make some wrong decisions in the second half but we must not dwell on that.
“I’m not going to dig too deep into the reasons for us losing as we need to look forward, not backwards.”
The Londoners produced an encouraging, if not spectacular opening to the game with tries from Danny Orr, Karl Temata and Lamont Bryan opening up a healthy lead.
But with both Jason Golden and Temata departing injured Quins were ran ragged in the final 30 minutes, leaving Ben Jones-Bishop’s late score a mere consolation.
McDermott added: “We know we are stretched and we know we are missing some important players.
“But that does not mean we should accept losing games.
“You look at our back line out there - players like Jamie O’Callaghan, Will Sharp, Tony Clubb and Ben Jones-Bishop and there is about 50-odd Super League games between them.
“That is a fact and we have to just keep working hard and learning game by game.”
Harlequins RL’s next three matches: Mar 20 Huddersfield (h), 26 Bradford (a), Apr 2 Crusaders (a)

| Quote: Homer "Not sure that I would agree with this.............a young 2nd coach would probably love the opportunity, it's a classic win win for him as he will not get any blame attached for not improving results, but in reality and even with the squad we have, the right man with the right motivational skills will make improvements easily and his CV will be all the better as a result.'"
Wasnt Brian Mac a "young coach", not sure its win win for him! Just more boddocks from those that know nothing about the club.. Tlak about kicking a man when he's down.

JT is a top geezer but to be fair. How do you know that? Though he was actually partly responsible for Feleti Mateo going to London.
Quote: PTB "If you need any evidence to support Homer's arguement, then think back to the 2004 season, when Rea brought in Rohan Smith as assistant. '"
He's assistant at the Roosters at the mo. He may go back to Quins.
There are many over here that could do that job and do well including people who have a broad range of skills and disciplines to their bow. But it's just hypothetical at the mo...

| I think it is absolute ballacks to talk of getting rid. The bloke has been dealt a really bad hand from the god of injury and has been blooding youngsters rather than getting the Aussies in. This crap about capitulation on Sunday!!! We played the second half with one sub - Golden ko'd, Bibb never came on and Temata didn't come back - presume his hammy went again. He didn't look clever at the end and boy when he was on did he make a difference. We ran out of gas.
Who would we bring in and with the cards that we have would they really make a difference? However if the club are making a conscious policy to go with the youth then I think we should be told so that we can stop all this angst. If we have to have pain to get gain then I can live with that. A lot of teams have been through it. Yes it would be tempting to get a Menzies or a Fitzgibbon in - but for me is that really the way to go?
