It is a sad reflection how the "clique" have behaved in controlling forums and debate over the years. I presume it happens at most clubs? but to me it is the story of some with a little power!

Who's in this clique then? I've not been aware of one on here before

In fact, the only clique I can think of is that containing a series of bitter moaners who want to see a return to the good old days and can't possibly embrace the present and look forward to the future.

I would put you a the top of the clique list Lister, I don't want to see a return to the good old days as they were not that good. It just seems to me that is anyone expresses a view on here that is slightly controversial they are often told to bu@@er off as the club does not need supporters like them when in fact the club needs every supporter it can get.

And in that way you and your cronies are doing the club a great disservice.

IF you are not aware of "The Clique" don't worry about it Dave stay in your own world, and NO I don't live in the Past, Thanks! but I am willing to accept reality even though at times it hurts.

The cry of clique is usually the only response internet users have when their points of view are so flimsy as to be shot down in flames by more than one person giving reasons as to why their flimsy points of view are not actually robust enough to encourage debate.

Said posters usually then moan on year after year about cliques and "stifled debate" as a sop to their own self importance, or lack of. They always miss somehow the debates where robust opinions are offered and debated against because that would negate their own percieved valued opinions.

Victim mentality I believe it is known as.

I fail to see the point in going on about a clique......everyone here has their own opnions and just because people don't agree with most of mine, it doesn't make them a clique does it?
For example, I have been quite vocal in my opinion of the Skolars this year, but just because people like HKBronco, Wire Quins and Kit80 disagree with me, it doen't make them a clique....it's just a difference of opinion.

I think I'm the last person apart from GF that I would think would be part of a clique, people rarely agree with me and I have very little connection with anybody on these forums.

I thought all our poor fans, sorry i mean those who chose to sit in the east stand last season, were a clique - til we all joined them this season

Anyone who dares criticise the club and its players on here is shot down in flames - t'was ever thus.

My criticism of Jon Wells is a case in point. His strike rate as a super league winger is absolutely pathetic and has been for a number of years yet because he is a nice bloke and chats with people, anyone who dares say he is not good enough is shot down by the fundamentalists on here.

When voices such as mine and Scimitars mention that they don't like the product and don't want to watch it anymore, the fundamentalists on here tell them that they are 'miseries' or that 'you aren't welcome here with an attitude like that'

The simple fact is that Harlequins RLs average crowd is pathetic and getting worse. Rather than clapping yourselves on the back about how 'loyal and loud' you are, why not show some humility and accept others points of view? Why not accept that the club as it stands is not attractive to thousands of lapsed fans?

As for the thousands of lapsed fans.....get over yourself. Since 2000 we have pretty much stayed the same, a badly supported club. What would you rather? A colapse a la the London Monarchs.
