Quote brian2="brian2""If the cap fits" - that's what I mean gutter fax. Did I say anything personal about you? So why be snide, sarcastic or Mr nasty?
I left the North in 1985, I go back because my parents are still alive and live there. If they were not I would never go north of Watford. I was a Hull season ticket holder 1963 -1986' have supported London from 1999.
I enjoy rugby, wam interested in other people's views, but frankly have now no time for you.'"
Sorry...the cap fitting comment was meant as humour. It would seem you're a tad touchy about your northern roots, so I'll steer clear from now on, but no offence was meant.
As for the thread and it's title, the fact that the club has declared a return to the SL is what it wants and expects leaves it open to question. It's not repetitive to ask "what has changed to make this stated aim a real possibility"?
What has changed?
A few Tweets and a couple of FB posts and some people here are acting like we're Barcelona FC

David Hughes has said he'll back us for a few years.....I could have sworn he said he'd back us for 3 years in 2011 yet "wobbled" after 2 years.....do we trust him now more than we did in 2011? Yes.....it's in the past, but if a dog bites you once he should never be give the opportunity to do it again!
Our Coach has very little in the way of a track record that is quantifiable. He has assisted at 3 NRL clubs but never looked like stepping up and has coached Malta, who I have no doubt the defunct Hammersmith Hills Hoists would beat with ease. He has a 16 game record with 1 win against a 2nd tier Leeds pre challenge Cup final...his side shipped 47 points per game, so no better than Rea had performed in the first 11 games...although we scored 1 more try per game under Grima.
The squad he has assembled, no matter what way you spin it, is made up of journeymen and a scattering of young talent. They have been together for 8 weeks and include a player coming out of retirement after 2 years.
Until a competitive PTB takes place, all we have is and wind, with smoke and mirrors.........I want us to be as competitive as possible and will be delighted if we make the middle 8.....but the reality is, until they KO the season, little of any substance has changed at the club.
By all means be excited. By all means look forward to seeing us win some games, but never lose sight of the fact we are winning against Doncaster, a part time outfit of Plumbers, brickies and bakers. Hardly friggin Wigan, is it and it's Wigan that the fans will come to see....and without the fans....well, ask St David of Swinton how that's worked out for him so far!
