Hmm, still don't get this "owned" thing - if I had gotten facts wrong about Fulham/Crusaders/Broncos/Quins (or whatever the New Era Club will be called next year), and GF had proved me wrong, I would class that as owned. But he rightfully never disputes my views on attendances (same as I don't dispute his knowledge on youth development in London) so not sure where the 'ownage' is - surely it's just two guys have contrasting views & opinions (which IMO there's nothing wrong with on an internet discussion forum)?  |

The dour attendance at Wales yesterday evening is nothing to do with Quins. I think if I were a Quin fan I'd of boycotted the game myself, 6pm on a friday evening, total and utter madness.

except that you do still, after the countless "discussions" hold dear still to the odd myth regarding London, rather than facts as pointed out. i.e we could never be relegated, or, RFL bailed us out pre Quins, or etc etc etc ad nauseum

FWIW, I hope nobody goes and widnes come up, but as it is, there are potentially 7 teams in the mix at the moment
Quins
Crusaders
Salford
Wakey
Castleford
HKRBradford
All have failings......ground, finance, fans etc....and all should be working very hard on plans to address their own issues without pointing the finger at others.
For example, if I were a fan of a team that played in a relic of a stadium, with temporary uncovered seating, had reported losses and debts to the tune of 3 million, had asked for special treatment when it comes to extra overseas players even though the RFL have made it clear they want more home grown players and had historical issues with fans behaviour and pitch invasions, I would be concentrating on getting my own house in order before having a go at a club that plays in a great Rugby stadium, has no debt (no even an overdraft), fielded the most british squad in superleague and has an award winning community and youth set up.........but hey, each to their own

I would agree , very little thought for any travelling support.
It's not as though the game KO time was being dictated by it being televised. |

and especially when a number had bought their tickets for the game when advertised for the Saturday, we can't all afford to buy two sets of train tickets. Friday matches means taking time from work and for some poeple if they don't work they don't get paid. Now let me think why did so few of us travel.

Back to the original topic. There is a way that no Super League club could "lose" their licence, and that's if one of them decided not to reapply. That's got to be one option DH (and Crusaders?) are considering, given the certainty of haemmorhaging millions on the new three year licence. A consequence would be to limit losses next season by eg shipping out expensive players and going with the ones already on the books.
How long have we been back at the Stoop? Wasn't the original deal for five years? When is that up?
