Agree entirely. Only 1 person has spoke about DH being a constraint, and it wasn't me at all.

Its annoying how a sensible debate has been turned into criticising DH for whatever bizzare reason.

Hey...I have gone on record as saying that DH should be beatified...praised and honoured for all his efforts......but, whilst the cash has kept as afloat we have not moved forward as a club.
All I am saying is there is a direct connection between the type of player we can attract/afford and the revenue from attendances we achieve.

Just because someone donates funds to the club doesn't put them above criticism........

Hey...I said I manipulated stats to suit my arguement....so knock yourself out. Quote the crowds from 1997.....please do. Quote them for every game that season and then please compare them to the attendances up to 2009...........I'll have a guess that instead of being the same as 2009, they will be considerably higher. This will prove what exactly..that we have moved forwards

I think that the overriding reason for this run of defeats is the fact that we've had the heart of our team ripped out with Randall, Orr, Purdham and Dorn all out at the same time. We are never the same team without Purdham, but without the other three we are totally rudderless. I think Brian Mc's position should be properly reviewed in the final year of his contract - if we haven't made the play-offs by then, and are still bobbing around in our usual 7-9th place then yes, things may need a change.

I do think though that there are several SL clubs who would love Brian Mac as their coach.

Who would you prefer to coach us than Brian Mac?

No BM shouldn't go...we have missed the playmakers in the team...when we are all fit and have the players that our messly club budget can afford we are a match for anyone...look at the results at the early end of the season. So BM is doing well with what he has.

What are the alternatives?? Bring someone else in and we'll be challenging for the GF next year yea?

The scenario is that we miss the play offs. If we miss them AGAIN, for the THIRD year in a row, then maybe we'll challenge to actually get into the playoffs and make a little more progess year on year if we brought somebody else in. Currently we are making none.

Just a thought.

And I can hardly see us winning any more games this season even with our "playmakers" returning.

McDermott has managed to build reasonable sides out of fairly limited resources, for that reason I wouldn't want to see him walk. If he did go we'd only have the issue of who to bring in, it wouldn't make the squad any stronger.

The return of the playmakers = return of wins.
