astonishing performance in many ways. positives - we looked good going forward- inventive, and progressive. defence, seemed better than last year. negatives - we keep losing ball. we lost game because of a home put in on our 25, yet we lost it and gave them the game!

but overall - feeling good, we seemed to be very quick at play of the ball, and were good at backing up! positive

Sounds like Longy has had a good effect. Rare o hear we were good at the PTB Long may it happen. Now he has seen them perform he can iron a few errors out im sure. They obviously respect him for the great player he was. He can teach them as long as they listen. Looking forward to more feedback from those there about individual performances. The halves must have done ok i would think.

no 14 - no idea who he was, but he was great, 22 and 27 both big units, bis hay excellent - about the only player I recognised. we played in last years colours without sponsors logo, no names on shirts hence I had no idea who I was watching!

You will have to get on the internet brian when you get back Brian to check the players pics lol . Im hoping we had a good performance from the props so we have a good platform to play from, seeing as we've learned to back up players now.

I know it's VERY early days but considering a few weeks ago we weren't sure we'd even have a team this sounds like a very positive day - out on the pitch, where it matters !

we did look reasonably physical, and even the big guys looked like they could handle a ball. a friendly is a friendly, but talking to my French/Catalan neighbours this seemed a reasonable Catalan team?

I feel more positive! but then I am hopeless optimist!

Its time we had a team that could handle itself and not get rolled over by the physicallity of the opposition. It is only a friendly as you say but as ive said allready if we could get off to a good start and beat Widnes momentum is a wonderfull thing and we could spring a few surprises. OK we may get the odd hammering but if we finish outside the bottom 2 most of us will be happy this season. Next season our youngsters will be stronger and we can build on this.

Only 6 of the starting 13 have been given a squad number for the forthcoming season, and only two of the substitutes. London could probably do with signing/loaning a couple of them TBH.
