| The official deadline is probably the AGM of whichever league the club want / are allowed to join. Given the SL line up announcement date, I guess that will be November some time.
Clearly if it reaches the point it becomes impossible for a new owner to field a competitive side, that could well be it for next season. There's a slight possibility the club may be permitted deferred entry to League One in 2026 - remember that was granted to the Oxford / Gloucestershire merger which never happened,,- but I'm firmly in the land of straw clutching there.

| I suspect Hughes has smashed up his train set so badly no-one else can play with it.

Obviously we don’t have any details but if we haven’t been beavering around in the background looking for potential buyers then issuing a terse “I’m off” statement together with an “offers welcomed” sign in the window doesn’t seem to me like a credible way you go about selling anything.

I wonder if our folding will give Hunslet the opportunity to take a place in the Championship even if they lose to Swinton.

| as an side, I have been checking out various socual media channels and it has struck me how "pro Dave" these are?
This may go some way to explaining why he continued to layer mistake upon mistake over the last few years as well as his dismissal of posters here and the other forum as a "few whiners". The facebook fanpage has a condition of membership that you do not criticise the club, players or staff?????
WTF????
I have been a Glasgow Celtic fan for decades and criticism of the club, players and staff has been a PRE-CONDITION of fandom, long before social media was born. There seems to be a core of a dozen or so who still blindly cheer Hughes for his efforts, but you would have to be mentally deficient not to see that Hughes, regardless of investment or best intentions, has killed the club, stone dead.
As for the future? Does anyone believe that an investor would touch London without cast iron assurances from IMG? It would be like buying a lottery ticket for twice the price and already knowing you've picked the wrong numbers. IMHO, better we drop down now, regroup as an amateur side and rebuild from the bottom up. There is no silver bullet. Long days of hard graft are needed and without Hughes to paper over the cracks with tenners and pay wages to the wrong people, we may just see how loyal these one eyed social media fascists are when it comes to volunteering. They certainly went MIA when they were asked to help out a couple of years back.
Rosslyn Park ir Trailfinders as a base with a view to League 1 in 2026 or 27 would be a start. Aim to get 1,000 paying fans and 500 freebies a week and cultivate the freebies. Engage with the locals, become part of the local fabric and grow organically.

I suspect most of us will be Hovis by the time any organic growth sees the light of day. From what I can see we don't have the likes of Ron & Mo Snares or Gwen & Barry Warren to drive that approach forward.

| I think the club have a better chance of rebuilding around the women's side. Focus on that and see what happens.

For a totally selfish reason as it is 5 minutes walk from my place but if the club were to start fresh maybe. have a look at this place.
https://www.imbercourt.com
it is a sports ground run by locals with a ready to go ruby pitch with a 700 seater stand and the nicest surrounding which could really benefit the club in entertaining families to get behind the game.Has a good bar, clubhouse and even has a permanent Dough shack pizza place in the car park which i am sure could be dragged around alongside the pitch. If the club were to flourish , there is scope to build on the site and even if the kids get bored there is a playground on site.
The local community really do get behind things that go on in and around the area and you also have Elmbridge Eagles down the road which is a good club with lots of different age teams and even a wheelchair rugby league team.
I am sure if you approached the owners they would even let you move the marquee gym onto site.the only problem being sometimes they hold festivals there in the summer but even has a over 35's discos every few motnhs that apparently do get a bit lively.
The ground even has two railways station less than a mile walk, Thames Ditton and Esher.
