| If we are not going to be successful in IMG plans and will be kicked out of Plough Lane and playing in the lower league , why dont we look at Imber Court in Esher. It has a rugby pitch with a 800 seater stand already, bar, good parking, two railway stations within ten minute walk and is owned by local residents who got a 35 year lease on it in about 2015.

| Roslyn Park is well situated as a ground both by road and transport links. I think there is scope to develop the stands on most sides of the ground. There is certainly a need as I can’t see how they can get past health and safety again. The fly in the ointment is the volume of asbestos knocking around. Removing that would quadruple the cost unfortunately. IMHO they are one kid or OAP taking a spill from a big insurance claim. My feel is that as it’s RU heartland there are quite a few causal supporters in a way that we don’t seem to get at PL.
Not sure how big the crowd was today but maybe 300-400. Not bad really.

| Firstly, it shows a lack of ambition or maybe a realisation from the exiles that 9k is their limit. Not sure of their 2022/23 average, but they were well up on Reading numbers and growing.
Secondly, are we really delivering what AFC hoped? If we stumble along with 11 gates delivering 11,000 fans all year for the food trucks etc, surely their heads will be turned by a club that can deliver them nearer 100,000.
Next. Have we yet admitted to ourselves <yes, you Hughes> that this was a huge folly? IMG aren't interested in "your" London, so what next?
Rosslyn Park, with a few Bob thrown at them might take us in as "partners", but let's face it, we're beggars now, not choosers.
I was 100% against moving to Yrailfinders, but on reflection now, moving to Plough Lane is up their with employing Gus as the biggest error the club has made under this owner.

In any event, we are still stuck with the intransigence of Hughes & his tame Lobster.'"
As an aside I see from Twitter feed that Mr Hughes was in attendance. I wonder where he watched the game from? I tell you where he wasn’t, in the seats in the stand ear marked for directors- seemingly about 10 of them. Some on this site have criticised Mr H for his judgement but on this occasion, his decision to give those seats a swerve was very sound.

| If Broncos do move again they ought to consider what audience/catchment area they are trying to attract. The main issue with PL is poorish transport. Not enough parking, a hike from the tube and infrequent buses. Should Broncos aim to be the leading RL team in the south east? If they do they need to be in a stadium with good all round transport links. If they want to be a south west London team RP would probably do, but they would never progress to super league there.

He was sat on the back row of the stand with his son and Stevo.

Took his life in his hands there. One hearty cough and he’d have been through the floor!
Did you get a chance to ask him when those additional players are joining?

Which do you think will come first? A full squad or average 5k attendances.

| A regular poster on the other forum is reporting being told by an AFC fan Broncos actively want out of Plough Lane as "it's not met expectation."
Obviously this could be a rumour but it sounds right out of the Broncos playbook rule 11a, all failed groundshares are totally the fault of the ground / location / owner and nothing to do with utter incompetence from the Broncos.

| TBF not being able to play at home between mid May and end of July was always going to be an issue.
Most other clubs who share with football los2 5 weeks not 12

This can be the only thing that potentially hasn't met expectation. Everything else is of the Broncos own doing.

Could all be nonsense but I agree this is the only area where there may be doubt as to who is completely to blame. A couple of weeks overrun last season was regrettable, doubly so if hard baked into every season but there must have been some discussion about that possibility and the non availability of ground if we had a cup match added to the schedule. In any event it’s the concept of a lengthy gap in home games that is the most problematic for a club trying to embed itself in a new area - whether 5 or 7 weeks is of lesser importance. Generally AFC have been accommodating and tried to drum up interest in AFC fans ( last season at least). How did we repay that golden opportunity? By serving up rubbish in our first two home games - and as it was an entirely foreseeable outcome that golden opportunity was lost and can’t be clawed back.
They’ve made changes this season all for the good, less unnecessary stewards, fan zone, move the East stand but it only really works if you get people through the door. What have we done to get people in? What can we do with a shoestring back room staff. Is it AFCs fault we appear not to have struck a chord with local sponsors or the local community? I would think know, although that’s not to suggest it is in anyway easy.
The truth is we are in a pickle and throwing money at a big stadium was always high risk. Where do we go next though??? If we go to Roslyn Park I doubt that ground is currently acceptable for Championship standards so that would mean back to Ealing. Both do have scope for development on the plus side.
Either way I suggest we dial back on the big time rhetoric about not wanting to be housed in 3rd tier football/RU grounds. The truth is that is exactly the right space for us at the moment. (This could be said of many clubs including in SL of course).

| It's a farce.
Highest and Loubser haven't a clue what to do and unless the Club is either taken over by or employs someone who can chew gum and walk at the same time, we're heading for obscurity....
