Did anyone else get the email? If not it’s perfectly reasonable to assume it was some kind of spoof email designed to lift the mood in these difficult times.

Ebbsfleet and Wimbledon don’t seem to be an obvious fit. I like to think we got a good deal. If not.........bonkers!'"
This will be the 4th venue Hughes is paying for this season. The one we can only use for 1st team matches for part of the season, the training ground we can only use when the landlords have finished with it for the evening, the one we are using for the youth to be close to the Academy head who then quit and now the one in Kent.

| An ex Broncos fan I know was told by an Ebbsfleet official that this was on the cards at Steve Mascord's birthday bash. He told me at Army RL Challenge Cup 2nd Round day so it's been in the pipelines a long time.
One of the Ebbsfleet officials used to be employed by an NRL club, which is why they were so keen to host the match.

When you write it down and read it back it’s crazy isn’t it. My wacky idea that every single decision that the ‘board’ make should be sanity checked by an independent person with a brain grows more attractive by the second. Surely if they set out what they intended to do and sent it to a grown up, any half sensible person would ask a couple of questions and the whole rationale for it would fall away and we would avoid another banana skin.

Cheers Dan that offers some glimmer of understanding. I’m all in favour of our ‘board’ talking to management teams from other clubs from across any sports. If we are lucky they’ll pick up some good ideas. We seem to have run out of them ourselves.

| On the plus side ( and this is probably for me alone) it’s going to be a hell of a lot easier for me to get to than Wimbledon.
Even easier than when we played a couple of games at Gillingham.

| Like RfE, I am a winner in the journey lottery. Living only fifteen minutes or so from the ground.

Every cloud. Mind I don’t think people who live in Wimbledon or Ealing will find it that handy. For me looks like train/tube into Kings Cross then out again on the train. 1hour/ 1 hour 20. Sigh.

| Ebbsfleet is great when to 2 French clubs come over on Eurostar. What? They're both in Super League, well that's another plan fallen through.

IIRC they hardly turned up in numbers when they got to Wembley a few years back so suspect this won’t be such a problem. Now the thousands of new SW London Broncos fans we’ve accrued via our aggressive marketing of this season that may be a problem!

| Given this has clearly been brewing for ages, Broncos should have had the courtesy to warn Sheffield fans not to book cheap train tickets as the venue was uncertain. It doesn't matter whether it's one fan or ten thousand. It's not like it's never happened to Broncos own fans is it ...

It is not like over the years, London fans have been messed about with game times, dates or venues being changed.
Sheffield did it to us about a month ago. Oh the irony !

I've not had an email from the club since Feb 11th....a week after the 1st (and to date only) [size MONTHLY[/size Q&A with Mustard.
The Obvious choice for this game "on the road" would have been Ealing Trailfinders which is 30 minutes away, but nope, let's drag the few regulars we have left across town on a 1 hr car trip or a 100 minute public transport journey from the Cherry Red There's a very good chance that Bridges with Ealing have been torched a la The Hive and Harlequins before them.......
Utter contempt and disregard towards the existing fan base and they're not even apologetic about it. The NEW landlords have kicked us off the park for 8 weeks and 2 days which is 26% of the regular season........TWENTY SIX F()(KING PERCENT!
Who negotiates these deals? A child? Surely not a businessman with a sound grasp of reality?
The harsh reality is that this move has been an even bigger disaster than any of the dozen or so whiners on the internet knew it would be.
Discounted kids tickets offered after game 1, along with cut price "mates rates". The discounts across the board after game 2. A lucky draw and a win against a relegation contender sees us in a relegation spot after 11 games and we have an average gate that is guesswork because they were too embarrassed to announce the gates for Dewsbury or Bradford. Even the 940 claimed on Friday is dubious given fewer than 550 had been sold by Thursday night, but if they're happy to announce 940 but not those other 2 games, you have to ask how much below 900 were they? 980 was the average at Ealing last full championship season, so we've gained nothing except possibly 400 curious locals on Freebies last Friday?
Hughes has to go.
If the club can't survive without him then it doesn't deserve to.
