| Would hope to have seen a bigger crowd than that for what is the highest grade local Derby in the south with no Broncos game to compete with

| Enfield is a pain to get to. While it is a nice ground, being there has undoubtedly put people off

I am amazed that people choose to live and work anywhere that doesn't have 4 tube lines, 100 bus routes and 5 overland stations within 5 minutes........but they do....

| Obviously you would make the effort. I do make the effort. But faced with two trains an hour and then a 25 minute walk to a stadium that isn't your own many people haven't.

It wasn't a pop at anyone......it's just one of the more outlandish claims I've heard over the years is that London needed a local derby to expand the game.....

Was about 100 more than at the corresponding fixture at Hemel earlier in the season - not bad considering Skolars recent form.

| Unfortunately gates at all the southern Championship One teams are poor, some very poor. The York press was very scathing about Oxford / the recent expansion teams this week.
Here's hoping a competitive Broncos team can break the mould and pull in decent gates for their new level next season. I'd be surprised if more than about 1300 individuals are currently regularly watching the five southern English teams combined once you remove away fans, people who watch more than one of the teams, neutrals etc.

| Depends if broncos compete in champ 1.
As the norther chaps say"it ain't easy!"
That will dictate gates.
The curiosity factor will draw a few but from then on....

I don't think York brought any more than a dozen to the game at Skolars a fortnight ago. Three out of their last four home games have had crowds of under 500. I suppose one could mention stones and glasshouses, but I guess it is just the usual scapegoating of anyone not from Royston Vasey.

| Not quite sure what junior development has to do with gate levels but.....
As an ex Skolars season ticket holder I am well aware of the junior set up. (I stopped as a season holder when I left London.)
I now watch Oxford so will be at Skolars soon. I hope to see a far bigger gate than I did v South Wales, I attended that as a neutral. If so I may be able to revise my 1300 regular attendees estimate upwards, until then I stand by it.

I have struggled to get to Oxford games this season for a number of reasons. I missed one I think last season but have only attended one this season. A combination of holidays, the club stupidly playing on Good Friday at the same time as an Oxford United home game and playing a home game on the road have been far from ideal. Here we are though in the best weather and the middle of Oxford being full of foreign students, there is no home game between 29 June and 31 August........................9 weeks.
I think a bit more thinking really does need to go into the fixture list, as a new club and trying to encourage people, the idea of 9 weeks without a home game is really poor planning

To be applauded.......skolars may never trouble the top tier, but they do at least understand the principles of laying foundations before building.
