I simply noted that Wakefield got off to a quick start which was aided by penalties. Any remarks on what happened afterwards wouldn't change that.

I thought the ref did OK. He got flustered when the ball spilled in the in goal (near the new stand) and Dixon picked it up and set off. He looked at his in goal Judge, didn't get what he was looking for and blew up for tap 20. It was clearly a play on situation and he should have let KD got the 100 m to score. But all in all he was fine.

Wq the ref was Tom grant, he has been around a while but went full time last season. We saw him a couple of times last season. In fact we were his first game when he got taken on full time.

Go back to the days of winter rugby and 99% of forwards had a fair amount of grease on them particularly when playing on hard grounds. I suspect it was more to do with the surface than anything else.
