| Tough times i guess. The bottom line is the fans vote with their feet as we've seen at the Stoop the last few seasons. If the team is going to get thrashed constantly because the youngsters can't cut it yet the fans wont come and the ramifications are the club will fold. We still have a few lads who have proved they can play at this level but i guess the skilled players will have to be imported as always.

Maybe the club could help a little here as part of a recloaction move like other business's do. When they return north they can have a mansion. Im from the north and as long as your children are settled into the school of your choice for uninterupted secondary education there is not much of a problem. There is a lot to do in the south and they can have a good standard of living. Believe it or not there is employment here for their wives if they want it and they can build a new circle of friends with nursery schools and work and still maintain a very heatlhy relationship with long standing friends. We are talking 300 miles distance not 3 million. However we need to be sure we do not sign players who are incapable of cutting the apron strings and have to return home due to homesickness as has happened in the past. :
London have been bailed out by the rl and aussies clubs for years why haven't they developed more home grown talent than the couple of decent sl players, I was with my son in a pub in earls court before a Chelsea match and asked the supporters if they actually knew anything about rugby league and they didn't have a clue, I'm afraid your time is up. We once had a sweepstake at the kc stadium before the match to guess how many London fans their was I won with a guess of 32 on that note I rest my case.

Nice balanced post from a citizen of the soon to be capital of culture! Bad Manners as your avatar - that's pretty appropriate! Now jog on!

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

| That's rich coming from a Hull FC fan complaining London don't develop enough home grown players.
So how many home grown players were there in Hull FC's Cup Final team then?
By home grown btw do you mean Hull born, schooled and developed, or club trained, which means players from anywhere as long as they've been with your lot 3 years by the age of 21.
A good third of your Final team came from the Wakefield MBC area inclg Cas, Fev etc.
London don't have that facility as there aren't any other RL city clubs around them, unlike you having Wakefield MBC and Leeds.
That's why the club trained, federation trained and non federation trained rules need changing and improving so London can compete.
London need to be treated differently because they are different.

Impressive - you managed to count beyond 10. Funny, when the likes of Salford, Cas, Cats and Wakefield visit us each year it doesn't take long to count the number of fans they bring.

This is up there with the stupidest things I've ever read on RLFans. And that's saying something.
