I too would pay more to stay at the Stoop, and would pay a reasonable premium for an allocated seat.

Booo- means sh*t spots for those of us who prefer to just turn up on (80% of) matchdays, which is a bit of a take when there are inevitably empty seats in prime locations due to ST holders not turning up, and then everyone just ends up moving anyway, or at least I do. In honesty I don't think we have the attendances at present for allocated seats to be requirement.

I've loved the unallocated seats, means I've brought people with me to all bar two matches and could sit with them in the places they'd enjoy it from most.

Quote: Moe Lester "The cheap Season Tickets were a good idea. It was an incentive to get a number of people in the ground, be it RU fans, football fans or just floating fans who turn up three times a year. However, it never seemed to work. '"

But how many "extra" people bought them? How many even knew about them? I recall from my "O" Level Economics lessons something about "price elasticity". You can increase the price of something to a certain level before people decide it's too high and stop buying it; but equally you can cut the price so low that you don't sell any more units. We need to pitch our price at the top end of that scale, but we haven't. I think we've cut our price too low with season tickets at £99; we're just "giving them away" to people who would happily pay more, and we're not increasing our number of units sold.

We're basically letting people in for (next to) nothing while one bloke (who cannot sustain his expenditure for more than a couple more years) covers all the overheads. It's nonsense, and it can't last; we need a strategy to take us beyond those next couple of years. This has been the case for as long as I've been regularly attending (10 years+ now) and there's no sign of any meaningfull progress.

I don't want an allocated seat either. But, if some do, and particularly are willing to pay extra for them, then make some available. 500 would only occupy about 15% of the west stand. No problem at all. Except it would give the stewards a bit of work.

You can't please everyone....

If it were me, and if the club insist on keeping east and west open d040.gif then;

Allocated: AE in both stands
Un-Allocated: everwhere else
Away Fans AA/AB and the North Stand.

BTW, The issue of people who bring mates and can't sit with them is not a problem that the club will care about now......less than 10% of ST Vouchers to bring mates and get rewards had been used by late July.....it didn't work.

I would pay more for an allocated seat.

I thought the unallocated was the way to go but I don't feel that way anymore (all our gang paid the extra for sooper dooper st's, even though we don't use the car park and only half of us needed them to get in the West bar).

Having oppo fans all around us all season is taking the mickey and I now want my own seat and I'm willing to pay extra for it (promise I wont take it home with me). icon_biggrin.gif

Used to be a cracking atmosphere at GP with the away fans on the Ealing road terrace and at the far left of the BR stand.....even better when they finally opened the Brook road terrace for home fans.

I don't see the point of opening the West Stand/East Stand......open one of them and one end for the norvun hoardes.....we aren't even close to filling half the ground, so why open 7/8th of it d040.gif

One of the problems with how things have gone this season is that the place is so empty, our stewards really can't see the problem with everyone sitting where they like.

I don't think it's fair that you pay for the best seats because you want the best view (and want to put money in the club) only to find on matchday, you've got a load of Pie-eaters sitting next to you taking the pi$$.

It doesn't happen in any other RL stadium....we rock up as visiting fans and we get the worse seats (or no seats) certainly not the best seats (and we have to pay loads more for the privilege).

I don't mean with vouchers or offers, I mean paying for a ticket on the site or at the gate. Knowing we can sit together is much better, and it's great that if I'm with my parents and nephew we can get some space for the buggy etc (he's almost 2!) but if I'm with mates we can have a shout and a chant.

There's areas in front of EA on both sides.....then theres the rows either side....as I said, you can't please everyone and given we had 890 odd ST holders this year paying 50% less than the 890 or so we had in 2011 I suspect/hope the club will give there ST and general admissions policy for 2013 some serious consideration.....

For me.....130 in the unallocated areas and 250 in the allocated. The 250 lot get access to the other bits and bobs associated with premium membership, the 130 get admission to the ground.

On the day, 17.50......4 match packs available for 50 notes/buy four tickets for any match, 50 notes...both offers available on-line/on phone only.

Ealing here we come, onwards and downwards.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1444.jpg

The season ticket should be £199.
If you want to do the early buyers discount make it £30, so the season ticket comes out at £169.

Match day £19. I know that means you'll need a bucket load of £1 coins as float, but it keeps it below the psycological £20 mark.

And finally, everyone under 17 should be free, always.

Then we get onto marketing, and cue GF...

it seems to me those that want allocated seats often sit in the central blocks of the West Stand. Why not make a few blocks in the west allocated, and everything else unallocated. If you sit in an allocated seat usually but bring mates along, you could sit elsewhere in the west with them, or try the east stand.
