Clubs are gambling.We still don’t know what next seasons central funding will be. We haven’t a clue what the 2022+ TV deal will look like, worst case Is no cash from SL.

All clubs should be planning to be cash flow positive under all scenarios next year.

Do not hold you breath over a March restart. We will probably be on our fourth lock down then.

Clubs presumably could agree to restart behind closed doors.

Unless there is financial support can't see many Championship sides wanting to start behind closed doors. Maybe Leigh & York might though.

Why not? With no furlough available clubs will have to pay players wages, so why not play games behind closed doors and stream games? Some revenue is better than none.

Indeed, in non league football it seems it is being left down to each club to sort out streaming platforms, whether to charge etc. Perhaps there is an opportunity for the RFL to help out clubs below SL by providing a common approach to streaming which could enable some much needed matchday revenue to flow in.

There is the small complication of Sky holding the broadcasting rights. Club cannot just start streaming games, at least not 'live' - I think Fev have to wait until Monday before making Sunday's game available on RoversTV.

We have seen in football that existing broadcasting rights can be worked around in current situation. If Sky do not want to show all the Championship games then why should clubs not have the opportunity ? This would of course be easier if the RFL took the lead to sort things out on behalf of all clubs.
