| Quote: Dan Stains woz God "Yeah, I agree Beecroft (what an awful wheedling voice he has) hardly gave London any credit tonight.
We had our problems too...no Howell, Robertson, Randall and 6 young Londoners playing (wonder if Wheeldon was dropped?).
Still, happy with the two points and the black shorts have always been the way to go! (the all baby blue kit looks like a baby's romper suit...our boys have got enough to contend with oop norf, without having to wear that kit!).'"
Not having Randall is NOT a problem!

| Well done to the team I did not think we would beat Salford after their display against HKR. Onwards and upwards shame I will miss the match next Saturday as I think it may be our 1st home win of the season.

| Salford had to change their line up due to at least one player being held up due to M62 closure.
They lost Williams during first half which didnt help them. Salford did manage a few breaks and did drop the ball over the line a couple of times. Breaking our lines a couple of times ans being chased down. once or twice we seemed mesmeriaed by dancing feet but poor finishing or peehaps signifiant pressure in the tackle meant they didnt score.
We looked up dor it and didnt panic. Dixons first try is worth watching for the pick up with Murphy left bemused. Dixons second was brilliant. Salford struggled with the high ball and were with Murphy having a mare whether it was a grubber or a high ball.
Salford upped it in the second half but really were not providing any penetration. We still give away penalties at silly times putting ourselves under pressure though a couple were player standing in an off sidw poaitoon and instinctively catching the ball. We defended well through out and provided more going forward. Seemed far more options going dorward and more ideas. In first half Sarginson went off on a mazy run in field on the last tackle when he could have put Dixon in.
Score board decided not to show final score and we appeared to lose 2 points! We were definately up for it and when they made a break Kaufusi chasing back 20m with another player to stop it sort of summed up the desire on a bitterly cold night.

| Having watched the game from a Salford perspective, I pretty much agree with all of the above. Dixon looked vey sharp all night.

| If TR's got any sense and stops mucking around with the team, he should stick with this same 17 next week against HullKR, consistence is what we need in the squad as we all know. Only change I would make is Melling to the bench in place of Lovell, (just feel Melling gives 100% when hes on the pitch).
If Robertson was to come back would you stick him back on the wing with Colbon inside him at centre so have two big guys outside for high bombs.
I have been a supporter of Randall's for years, but even I can see hes not playing like he use to and seems to slow the play down when around the play the ball area. From what I can work out until I hear from anyone who was at the game, but with Lee and Fisher playing at Hooker we were getting the ball out to the backs faster and they were making run's from dummy half. even the commentaries last night said Fisher was causing problems when he came on with is runs and speed with the ball to the halves.
Cant comment on what the forwards were like due to listening to the game last night I didn't have clue if any were playing as the radio guys never mentioned them much, (knew every Salford forward who was on the pitch )
Good to see Clubby back as well.

| Hooker is a key position. We already have a crap playermaker non defender at no6 in Witt. no wonder the team plays crap when these two comedians are on the park. I just hope Fisher can keep fit and gets selected. With this club getting the simple things right seems to be a big ask. God help us if we don't sort this defense out soon.

| Robertson must be in the team. Question is where? Colbon in place of Channing at centre is one option.

| Im interested to understand why Wheeldon wasnt playing. With a shortage of size in the front row I thought he would be one of our 3 front line props

| We were good on the night, it took us first 15 mins to get into groove, but we also stopped them playing and scorong at same time, so far credit to the team.
We were actually completing sets and kicking on, hardly any mistakes, Dixon was really focused and kick and chase was superb, full credit to him, time to shine again.
what a difference a game with no mistakes from us makes, Salford were ok, just did not get out of 2nd gear, we stopped them all the way, that gap in middle of defence was even closed on the night, so we played the game higher up the pitch, instead of right back on our line all the time. simple RL, set of 6, kick on, defend, simples.
The players body language also was a lot better, seemed focused and ready to grit it out, especially with all those youngsters again in the 19.
Total of 8 (eight) Broncos fans witnessed this, Paul Roberts, Mike Smith, Paul Warrick, Joe Warrick, Harry Warrick, kate & Mark Rammond and Richard, funny thing was, five were from Essex,
The salford fans were great at end, very gracious and full credit to them, we went into bar afterwards and they did a players talk etc and they were gutted, they still tried, but we had them beat, some people say that its only salford, but still at any level, pride kicks in and we were up for it, lets hope we remain together and move on as a team and group etc.
In a sense, Salford seem very similar to us, the locals are not happy about the stadium, they stay away, the new place lacks atmosphere, there the game suffers as well, the move away, from what they know, is still going around, we should note this as well, its not all rosy away from where you are etc.
Paul

| Disappointed to hear that Phil Vevers has left the Reds with immediate effect, he did a great job keeping what players he had together and though a real tough period! the management structure brought in by the owner I suppose will be ruthless for success, who will replace him?
