| Quote: daftdad "Interesting question but why blame the coach for poor handling, decison making all points which are adressed during training. The real issue is that some of the players are not up to SL standard and no amount of coaching will fix this problem. For example players turning their back for a penalty is a fundamental skill drilled into young players. Yet we have a international player do just that today, turn their back and wire score.'"
Name and shame that player!! Hang them out to dry.

| It was an end of season jamboree in the sun not a true game of rugby league. Nothing resting on the game but a big crowd packed in to see Wire show of there challenge cup.
The positive I take from it (not withstanding we conceded 40 odd points) was that we put a few structured attacking moves together which we haven’t done for some months.
O’C played well particularly in defence and Dave Williams stood up to Morley etc without making any errors.
Thankfully that draws a poor second half of the season to an end.
I’m hearing the players are returning to training later than usual this year. I may be wrong but my understanding is there is a belief the second half capitulations of the last 3 years could be down to starting our programme to early- interesting

Yet prior to Bill Pedan`s arrival we had a reputation for being only a 60 minute side.........and usually fell apart/leaked tries in the last quarter.

Great day out, some great tries, some crazy decisions, some shocking defense, some great beers drunk n songs song.
We rolled the dice and we looked like we were having fun.
Well played lads.'"
This is a fundamental problem we have seen these last 2 months. As they say in soccer - if you don't shoot you don't score. We have stopped making high kicks into the corner and chancing our arm. No one has the bottle to play grubber kicks for players to run on to. No one keeps the defense guessing with chips over the defensive cover and running through like other teams. Its hardly surprising we are not threatening our oponents line as we are not asking any questions of the defense.

Exactly! We've just been dull and predictable game after game, Brian (or whoever's in charge next season) needs to either give the likes of Randall and Orr a bit more of a free reign or bring in someone with a bit of imagination!

| just clearing something.
The sin binning
What the commentator failed to see.
The ref had a word with Quins captain twice about the constant holding down in the tackle.
Then only about 5 minutes later it happened again. Ref had no option to stop the offences. ref had a bad game for both teams, a lot of balls ripped out yet given as knock-ons ? Forward passes a plenty (pennys' 2nd try). Wire were lucky because Saints,Leeds or KR would have ripped us apart . Quins handling at times was shocking.
