Momentum is gathering pace for Friday Night Lights 2009! The schedule for the evening has been released with the Co-operative Championship 1 game between London Skolars and Keighley Cougars headlining. With the Skolars coming into form at the right time in the season, it promises to be a superb climax of the regular season.
Another exciting feature of the evening includes the All-Party Parliamentary Group taking on a London Rep side. The A-PPG side is made up of Rugby League enthusiastic MPs and during the 21 years the Group has been in existence have contributed to a number of important developments affecting the sport.
Schedule of the day
4pm - Southgate College v Keighley Cougar Cubs under 17s
4pm - Urban Rugby - Estate of Origin
5pm - All-Party Parliamentary Group v London Rep
6.30pm - London Skolars v Keighley Cougars - Co-operative Championship 1
Also, thanks to our sponsors at Arriva, there will be a FREE shuttle bus in operation between Wood Green tube and New River Stadium to ferry supporters to and from the game. The first bus departs at 5pm and runs every 15 minutes until kick off at 6.30pm. Return trips begin at 8pm and run every 15 minutes until 9.30pm.
Advance bookings are £10 and entrance on the night is £12, concessions £6.
For information and bookings contact Paul Thorman on 020 8888 8488 or e-mail paulthorman@skolarsrl.com. See www.skolarsrl.com for further information and Skolars news.

Really ? What form is this ? The event is to be applauded but that statement alone is utter nonsense.

| I think some of you so called London Rugby League "fans" are bloody idiots.
Just because you didn't get your own way and get a bumper crowd you start acting like children...
Skolars, Keighley, Bradford, Quins and the RFL probably looked at playing the two games on the same day but with a number of people already with tickets for the game in Tottenham it would have been a huge inconvienence to those and therefore Skolars, Keighley and the RFL probably didn't fancy the hassle of a number of disgruntled fans. There are a number of other simple explanations against this idea as well.
The groups may look at doing this next year but after the way some of you lot have kicked off I sincereley hope Skolars shove two fingers up to the Quins after the silly debate this has caused.
Come on people be proud there are two London RL teams in the pro game, support the Skolars in there venture.

This has to be the most hilarious post I have EVER seen on here.
OK, so Skolars did well at Oldham. But they lost their last match 64-0.
I am a big supporter of London RL, but I have to say, Skolars have been woeful this season, and posting comments like they are coming into form is not going to do them any good. It's a bit like saying that Quins are a well marketed Super League club.
I would love to see a Quins and Skolars double header sometime though - I think it would be good for all London RL fans to get together at the same ground on the same day to support both sides - doesn't have to be Friday Night Lights event at all - why not a different date earlier in the season?

| I haven't seen that many games this season and all the home ones have been woeful but the Skolars showed what they can do at Blackpool and Oldham. They lost both games but could hold their heads high for the effort they put in. They now need to show that they can play well at a home game - it's their last chance this coming Friday.
So come on Skolars - show the Quins supporters that you can play the game of rugby league - you owe it to your own supporters who are trying to defend you. No excuses.

Like we showed what we can do when we turned over Leeds?
No interest in Skolars thanks, we have enough worries of our own.
